Background: Routine screening for hereditary disorders in newborns includes screening for treatable metabolic and endocrine disorders, such as biotidinase deficiency, galactosemia, maple syrup urine disease, hypothyroidism, and cystic fibrosis. Incorrect test results may be encountered due to the use of vitamin K1. To investigate the interference effect of vitamin K1 on neonatal screening tests and to raise awareness of erroneous measurements.

Method: The levels of TSH, T3, T4, anti-TPO, anti-TG, and RIE were retrospectively evaluated. A total of 312 pregnant women were included in the study (GDM (-) group n=240, GDM (+) group n=62).
An ideal screening test for gestational diabetes should be capable of identifying not only women with the disease but also the women with a high risk of developing gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Screening and diagnosis are the main steps leading to the way of management. There is a lack of consensus among healthcare professionals regarding the screening methods worldwide.

Materials And Methods: Sera of 32,188 women were tested for CMV IgM and/or CMV IgG between 2008 and 2017. Those with IgM were tested for antibody avidity.
