Epithelial tumors of the parotid gland comprise 3% of head and neck tumors, and 70%-80% of those are benign. Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common tumor of the parotid gland. Recurrence rate of pleomorphic adenomas (RPAs) following superficial parotidectomy was reported to be as high as 4%, sometimes associated with inadequate surgical treatment of the primary tumor.

Salivary gland endoscopes provide an accurate means of diagnosing and providing minimally invasive surgical treatment for salivary gland diseases.
Methods: The authors review the relevant literature and provide the history of sialoendoscopy.
Objective: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the dental anxieties of children, parents and student caregivers in a dental school environment.
Methods: Eighty-eight children, parents and the dental students who treated the children were included in the study. They were asked to complete questionnaires which gathered information about demographics and dental anxiety using the Dental Anxiety Scale (DAS).
