The use of organizational principles in naming generation: its relation to time-dependency in normal elderly and Alzheimer patients.

Nineteen elderly--ten healthy and nine Alzheimer patients--were given a naming-generation task. Their responses were analyzed according to word-type and inter-word relatedness. The results were correlated with the Mini-Mental-State Examination (MMSE) and examined to elucidate time-dependency.

Word fluency in aging and dementia: principles of relatedness in the generative naming process.

Calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate deposition disease can mimic a large number of joint diseases. We report on three patients with predominantly systemic symptoms. Diagnostic pitfalls and treatment delays in these patients are discussed.

[Diabetes insipidus induced by post-resuscitation hypoxia].

A 13-year-old girl was admitted with meningeal signs. A lumbar puncture was followed shortly by cardiorespiratory arrest. In spite of intensive resuscitation she remained comatose and severe polyuria diagnosed as diabetes insipidus appeared.
