The investigation aimed to analyze the effect of Paeoniflorin (PF) on the initiation of atrial fibrosis and atrial fibrillation (AF) induced by angiotensin II (Ang II) and explore its associated underlying mechanism. PF has anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and hypolipidemic properties. However, the protective effect of PF against atrial fibrosis and AF remains unclear.
