To investigate the sleep quality of incoming college freshmen who have completed college entrance exams but have not yet entered college, to identify associated factors, and the mediating role of siesta characteristics on the relationship between siesta duration and sleep quality. This study included 6,519 incoming freshmen from two colleges in Xuzhou city, China. Weighted multiple linear regression (MLR) and binary logistic regression (BLR) were employed to investigate the factors associated with sleep quality.

Background: The prediction of coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19) in broader regions has been widely researched, but for specific areas such as urban areas the predictive models were rarely studied. It may be inaccurate to apply predictive models from a broad region directly to a small area. This paper builds a prediction approach for small size COVID-19 time series in a city.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates sleep patterns among healthcare workers in Shenzhen, China, finding three distinct profiles: good sleepers (63.9%), inefficient sleepers (30.3%), and poor sleepers (5.7%).
  • Factors like gender and marital status were identified as predictors for these sleep patterns.
  • Poor sleepers showed the highest levels of psychiatric symptoms, highlighting the need for targeted interventions to improve their sleep and mental health.

Article Synopsis
  • * A case-crossover design was used to analyze data from 2014-2019, focusing on four pollutants: NO, PM, SO, and O, with findings indicating significant associations between NO levels and outpatient visits while other pollutants showed no correlation.
  • * The results suggest that increased exposure to NO2 may elevate the risk of psychiatric issues requiring outpatient care, while pollutants like PM2.5, SO2, and O3 do not appear to impact mental health in this population.

Mastering the evolution of urban land cover is important for urban management and planning. In this paper, a method for analyzing land cover evolution within urban built-up areas based on nighttime light data and Landsat data is proposed. The method solves the problem of inaccurate descriptions of urban built-up area boundaries from the use of single-source diurnal or nocturnal remote sensing data and was able to achieve an effective analysis of land cover evolution within built-up areas.

Unlabelled: To construct a three-dimensional finite element model comparing between one-step and two-step methods in torque control of anterior teeth during space closure.

Methods: Dicom image data including maxilla and upper teeth were obtained though cone-beam CT. A three-dimensional model was set up and the maxilla, upper teeth and periodontium were separated using Mimics software.
