A novel Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped and non-nitrogen fixing bacterium named T786 was isolated from a highland barley cultivation soil in Qamdo, Tibet Autonomous Region, PR China. Strain T786 grew at 5-30 ℃ and pH 6.0-10.
