Although graphene oxide (GO) has extensive recognized application prospects in slow-release fertilizer, plant pest control, and plant growth regulation, the incorporation of GO into nano herbicides is still in its early stages of development. This study selected a pair of sweet corn sister lines, nicosulfuron (NIF)-resistant HK301 and NIF-sensitive HK320, and sprayed them both with 80 mg kg of GO-NIF, with clean water as a control, to study the effect of GO-NIF on sweet corn seedling growth, photosynthesis, chlorophyll fluorescence, and antioxidant system enzyme activity. Compared to spraying water and GO alone, spraying GO-NIF was able to effectively reduce the toxic effect of NIF on sweet corn seedlings.

Time-Dependent Sequential Changes of IL-10 and TGF-β1 in Mice with Deep Vein Thrombosis.

Objectives: To detect the expression changes of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) during the development of deep vein thrombosis in mice, and to explore the application value of them in thrombus age estimation.

Methods: The mice in the experimental group were subjected to ligation of inferior vena cava. The mice were sacrificed by excessive anesthesia at 1 d, 3 d, 5 d, 7 d, 10 d, 14 d and 21 d after ligation, respectively.

There are few systematic reviews on the topic to synthesise the positive experiences of family caregivers for patients with CHF. This study will examine how experiences such as developing new skills, strengthening their relationships (between caregivers and recipients) and receiving appreciation from the care recipient assist to improve caregivers' perception of their circumstances.

Background: Due to the limited diagnostic ability, the low detection rate of early gastric cancer (EGC) is a serious health threat. The establishment of the mapping between endoscopic images and pathological images can rapidly improve the diagnostic ability to detect EGC. To expedite the learning process of EGC diagnosis, a mucosal recovery map for the mapping between ESD mucosa specimen and pathological images should be performed in collaboration with endoscopists and pathologists, which is a time-consuming and laborious work.

Gaps in the Utilization of Community Health Services for the Elderly Population in Rural Areas of Mainland China: A Systematic Review Based on Cross-Sectional Investigations.

Background: While the community health service system was initially established in rural areas of mainland China, the utilization of community health service resources by the rural elderly population is not clear.

Methods: Cross-sectional studies on the utilization of community health services by the rural elderly population in mainland China published within the last 10 years were retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wan Fang, Medline and Web of Science (WOS) databases. The quality of the article was evaluated by the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP), and obstacles to the utilization of community health services by the rural elderly population were analyzed based on the Andersen model.

Development and evaluation of a multiplex quantitative polymerase chain reaction assay for detecting bacteria associated with lower respiratory tract infection.

Objectives: This study aimed to establish a multiplex quantitative polymerase chain reaction (MQ-PCR) assay for 12 bacterial pathogens found in lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) and to evaluate its performance in a cohort of 211 patients with LRTI.

Methods: The study was divided into two stages: a pilot study to establish the methodology and a clinical validation study to evaluate its performance. In the pilot study, we established the MQ-PCR and analyzed its performance regarding limits of detection, reproducibility, specificity, and efficiency.

Patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) often suffer from delayed gastric emptying, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. We have shown previously that a PD rat model comprising bilateral substantia nigra destruction by 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA rats) exhibits gastroparesis with alteration of neural nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) and acetylcholine in gastric corpus. However, changes in pyloric motility in the 6-OHDA rats have not been characterized.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused a global pandemic that has driven the widespread use of applications (apps) for outbreak management in China, but the characteristics and quality of these apps are currently unknown.

Objective: The first objective of this study was to investigate the functional characteristics of individual epidemic prevention and control apps in China, and the second objective was to evaluate the quality of these apps.

Methods: We searched the Qimai mobile application data analysis platform and the Aladdin WeChat applet data analysis platform with keywords and quantified the search results based on the search index, relevance, and the Aladdin index to identify apps with high public popularity.
