Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. Electronic databases including PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CINAHL, China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database (CNKI), WanFang Database, Weipu Database (VIP), and Chinese Biomedical Database (CBM) were searched to collect cross-sectional studies and cohort studies related to PIs among hospitalized fracture patients.
