The m6A reader insulin-like growth factor-2 mRNA-binding protein 1 (IGF2BP1) is involved in multiple pathophysiological processes through enhanced expression of the proteins encoded by their target mRNAs. However, the functional role of IGF2BP1-mediated m6A in liver fibrosis remains elusive. Here, we report that IGF2BP1 is highly expressed in activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), the major driver of fibrogenesis, and TUBB4B is identified as a potential target of IGF2BP1 by re-analysis of the RNA-seq, RIP-seq, and m6A-seq data.

Nano-FeO was loaded onto coconut-based activated carbon fibres (CACF) using an electrostatic self-assembly method. Eph receptor tyrosine kinase EphB1/2 contributes to the development of liver fibrosis, suggesting the rationale that EphB1/2 inhibitors may be effective in liver fibrosis therapy. Since tetracycline antibiotics were recently demonstrated as EphB kinase inhibitors, in present study we investigated their therapeutic potential against liver fibrosis. Our results showed that the tetracycline combination of demeclocycline (D), chlortetracycline (C), and minocycline (M) inhibited the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) in vitro and alleviated CCl-induced animal model of liver fibrosis in vivo.

Gene therapies via small interfering (si)RNA () and bone morphogenetic protein () plasmid DNA () may be promising strategies for bone repair/regeneration, but their ideal delivery vectors, efficacy difference, and underlying mechanisms have not been explored, so these issues were probed here. This study used lipopolysaccharide-amine nanopolymersomes (LNPs), an efficient cytosolic delivery vector developed by the research team, to mediate and to transfect MC3T3-E1 cells, respectively. The effects of long intergenic non-coding ribonucleic acid (lincRNA)-p21 targeting hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) on proliferation, apoptosis and migration of liver cancer cells were investigated. Transition metal oxides (TMOs) derived from metal - organic frameworks (MOF) combined with two-dimensional (2D) transition metal carbides possibly pave an innovative pathway for designing promising biosensors. Herein, a novel electrochemical sensing platform has been fabricated for ultra-sensitive determination of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs), based on MOF-derived MnO/MnO and TiC MXene/Au NPs composites. Remarkably, the three-dimensional (3D) MnO/MnO hierarchical microcuboids derived from Mn-MOF are composed of vertically aligned, highly ordered nanosheets, and further combined with MXene/Au NPs yields synergistic signal amplification effect, with outstanding electrochemical performance, large specific surface area, and good environmental biocompatibility.
