The instability of gasification coal pillars can easily induce the further development of water-conducting fractures, which leads to the connection of gasification combustion space and aquifer, and then causes groundwater pollution. Therefore, it is crucial to assess the stability of gasification coal pillar to forestall the potential risk of environmental contamination resulting from underground coal gasification. In this paper, based on the shape of the combustion space area of underground coal gasification, considering the influence of the mechanical properties of the coal pillar and the temperature field under the condition of thermal coupling, the calculation method of the yield zone width of gasification coal pillar is proposed.

In this work, SSZ-39 zeolite (AEI topology) with high hydrothermal stability is reported for preparing CH-SCR catalysts. Mild acid leaching with oxalic acid (OA) not only modulates the Si/Al ratio of commercial SSZ-39 to a suitable value, but also removes some extra-framework Al atoms, introducing a small number of mesopores into the zeolite that alleviate diffusion limitation.

This study delves into the impact of investor attention on the environmental information disclosure of Chinese high-tech firms, analyzing data from 463 firms between 2011 and 2022. Utilizing dynamic panel GMM, our findings highlight a significant negative correlation between investor attention and environmental information disclosure.

NiFe layered double hydroxide (LDH) with abundant heterostructures represents a state-of-the-art electrocatalyst for the alkaline oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Herein, NiFe LDH/FeO nanosheet arrays have been fabricated by facile combustion of corrosion-engineered NiFe foam (NFF). The in situ grown, self-supported electrocatalyst exhibited a low overpotential of 248 mV for the OER at 50 mA cm, a small Tafel slope of 31 mV dec, and excellent durability over 100 h under the industrial benchmarking 500 mA cm current density.

In order to truly simulate the influence of the underground high-temperature environment on limestone, taking seven groups of limestones of the Taiyuan Formation in the Ordos Basin as examples, we carried out a high-temperature (25-1200 °C) heating experiment of limestone in an argon atmosphere. The pore structure of limestone after the high temperature is studied based on scanning electron microscopy (SEM), mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), porosity, and permeability, and the change in the fractal dimension of the limestone pore structure was discussed based on the thermodynamic fractal theory, combined with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetry differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC), the variation of mineral composition with temperature is characterized, and the evolution mechanism of the limestone microstructure under high temperature is discussed.

Herein, an oxygen-doped carbon (OC) chainmail encapsulated dilute Cu-Ni alloy is developed by simple pyrolysis of Cu/Ni-metal-organic framework. The CuNi@OC catalyst displays superior performance for atmospheric pressure transfer hydrogenation of p-chloronitrobenzene and p-nitrophenol, and for hydrogenation of furfural, all in water and with exceptional durability.

Birnessite has a local atomic structure similar to that of an oxygen-evolving complex in photosystem II, while the catalytic activity of birnessite is far from satisfactory. Herein, we report a novel Fe-Birnessite (Fe-Bir) catalyst obtained by controlled Fe(III) intercalation- and docking-induced layer reconstruction.

Background: The development of pulsed field ablation (PFA) as a new technique for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) has been advancing rapidly in recent years. My team's previous work has shown the safety and long-term efficacy of bipolar asymmetric pulses in animal experiments. However, in ongoing clinical trials, we have observed that atrial fibrillation (AF) recurs in some patients after surgery, but the rhythm returns to normal without surgical intervention after seven days, and there is no recurrence in the follow-up.

Currently, the exploitation of Baode Block as a biogenic coal-bed gas field has been in the later stage of stable production; hence, exploration and activation of microbial gas production are of great practical significance for the enhancement and stabilization of block production. Pretreatment is the key process to improve anaerobic biodegradation performance and increase yield and production rate of gas. In this study, we examine physical, chemical, and biological pretreatment methods and compare their effectiveness toward microbial gas production in the coal seam.

A series of complicated chemical reactions can induce a considerable change in the pore structure of coal and thus promote the UCG process in turn. Currently, most studies on the effect of elevated temperature on the pore structure of coal were not involved in an air atmosphere, bringing a series of difficulties to understanding the pore structure evolution of gasified coal in the UCG process.

Novel neural stimulation protocols mimicking biological signals and patterns have demonstrated significant advantages as compared to traditional protocols based on uniform periodic square pulses. At the same time, the treatments for neural disorders which employ such protocols require the stimulator to be integrated into miniaturized wearable devices or implantable neural prostheses. Unfortunately, most miniaturized stimulator designs show none or very limited ability to deliver biomimetic protocols due to the architecture of their control logic, which generates the waveform.

Hydrogen gas has been previously reported to be an effective anti-inflammatory agent against ischemia-associated diseases by regulating mitochondrial function. The objective of the present study was to investigate the potential neuroprotective effects of hydrogen gas post-conditioning against neuronal pyroptosis after SAH, with specific focus on the mitochondrial ATP-sensitive K (mitoK) channels.
