Context: The use of colour codes for emergency caesareans has significantly improved team communication and protocol compliance over time. However, the impact on neonatal prognosis remains to be demonstrated.
Objectives: Our main objective was to evaluate changes in neonatal morbidity and mortality over time for orange-code (decision-delivery interval ≤ 30 mins) and red-code caesareans (decision-delivery interval ≤ 15 mins), since the introduction of the colour-code protocol.
The aggregation and transmission of SNCA/α-synuclein (synuclein, alpha) is a hallmark pathology of Parkinson disease (PD). PLK2 (polo like kinase 2) is an evolutionarily conserved serine/threonine kinase that is more abundant in the brains of all family members, is highly expressed in PD, and is linked to SNCA deposition. However, in addition to its role in phosphorylating SNCA, the role of PLK2 in PD and the mechanisms involved in triggering neurodegeneration remain unclear.

This study explored the role of Histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors in enhancing ferroptosis in AML cells by modulating iron metabolism. We demonstrated that HDAC inhibitors (Entinostat and Vorinostat) sensitize AML cells to ferroptosis both in vitro and in vivo.

Methods: We performed a retrospective review including all women with a vertex presentation fetus who had an indication for labor induction by amniotomy with or without oxytocin after 41 WG between 2015 and 2022. Patients who underwent an IOL by amniotomy followed by oxytocin perfusion within 0 to 4 hours (early oxytocin group: EO group) were compared with patients who underwent an IOL by amniotomy alone or followed by an oxytocin perfusion after an expectant period for up to 24 hours in the absence of a spontaneous onset of labor (delayed oxytocin group: DO group).
Oral mucosal wounds exhibit accelerated healing with reduced scarring compared to cutaneous wounds, representing an optimal wound healing paradigm. However, the specific cellular subtypes orchestrating the efficient healing of mucosal tissues remain elusive. Through a comprehensive analysis integrating bulk-mRNA and single-cell sequencing data during the wound healing process in oral mucosa and skin, we have delineated a distinct set of genes markedly upregulated during tissue repair.

Here, we identify a natural pentacyclic triterpenoid, Pygenic Acid A (PA), as a PD-1 signaling inhibitor. PA exerts anti-tumor activity in hPD-1 knock-in C57BL/6 mice and enhances effector functions of T cells to promote immune responses by disrupting the PD-1 signaling transduction.

The current proteomics approaches are inefficient to discover the methylation on residues other than Arg and Lys, which hinders the deep understanding of the functional role of rare protein methylation. Herein, we present a methyl-specific metabolic labeling approach for global methylome mapping, which enable the acquisition of methylome dataset covering diverse methylation types.

Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a major cause of liver damage during hepatic resection, transplantation, and other surgical procedures, often leading to graft failure and liver dysfunction. Recent studies have identified ferroptosis, a form of regulated cell death characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, as a key contributor to IRI. In this study, we investigated the protective effects of Ticlopidine, a thienopyridine compound and platelet aggregation inhibitor, on hepatic IRI.

However, the role of pseudogenes in maintenance of normal physiological states and life activities has long been neglected. Here, we identify pseudogenes that are dynamically expressed during human early embryogenesis, showing different expression patterns from that of adult tissues.

Here we present EpiChem for in situ single-cell joint mapping of small molecules and multimodal epigenomic landscape. We demonstrate single-cell co-assays of three small molecules together with histone modifications, chromatin accessibility or target proteins in human colorectal cancer (CRC) organoids.

Methods: Immunohistochemical staining and bioanalysis were used to analyze the association between FADD expression in tumor cells and cells in tumor microenvironment. RNA-seq analysis was used to detect the differences in gene expression upon FADD overexpression.
(L.) Crantz is an oilseed plant common in Europe and Asia. This study used the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to examine the differences in the aroma on the basis of extraction method such as water distillation extraction (CSPW), Solid-phase microextraction (CSPM) and subcritical extraction (CSPS).

The past decade has witnessed tremendous progress in our understanding of the landscapes and biological functions of RNA modifications, as prompted by the emergence of potent analytical approaches. The hematopoietic system provides a lifelong supply of blood cells, and gene expression is tightly controlled during the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs).

Objectives: The objective of this study is to establish a simple and efficient method to express and purify DDX3 protein in E. coli, and the recombinant DDX3 should maintain helicase activity for further tailor-made screening and biochemical function validation.
Objective: SUMO-specific protease 3 (SENP3), a member of the SUMO-specific protease family, reverses the SUMOylation of SUMO-2/3 conjugates. Dysregulation of SENP3 has been proven to be involved in the development of various tumors. However, its role in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), a highly aggressive lymphoma, remains unclear.

However, the atlas of RNA distribution within cells and dynamic changes during the developmental process are largely unknown. In this study, five subcellular components, including cytoplasmic extract, membrane extract, soluble nuclear extract, chromatin-bound nuclear extract, and cytoskeletal extract, were isolated and the rules of subcellular RNA distribution in human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and its change during hESC differentiation are summarized for the first time.
