The aggregation and transmission of SNCA/α-synuclein (synuclein, alpha) is a hallmark pathology of Parkinson disease (PD). PLK2 (polo like kinase 2) is an evolutionarily conserved serine/threonine kinase that is more abundant in the brains of all family members, is highly expressed in PD, and is linked to SNCA deposition. This study explored the role of Histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors in enhancing ferroptosis in AML cells by modulating iron metabolism. Objective: To assess the maternal and fetal benefits of delaying oxytocin perfusion by 24 h following labor induction by amniotomy after 41 weeks of gestation (WG).

Methods: We performed a retrospective review including all women with a vertex presentation fetus who had an indication for labor induction by amniotomy with or without oxytocin after 41 WG between 2015 and 2022. Patients who underwent an IOL by amniotomy followed by oxytocin perfusion within 0 to 4 hours (early oxytocin group: EO group) were compared with patients who underwent an IOL by amniotomy alone or followed by an oxytocin perfusion after an expectant period for up to 24 hours in the absence of a spontaneous onset of labor (delayed oxytocin group: DO group).

Targeting the PD-1/PD-L1 axis with small-molecular inhibitors is a promising approach for immunotherapy. Here, we identify a natural pentacyclic triterpenoid, Pygenic Acid A (PA), as a PD-1 signaling inhibitor. PA exerts anti-tumor activity in hPD-1 knock-in C57BL/6 mice and enhances effector functions of T cells to promote immune responses by disrupting the PD-1 signaling transduction.

In this study, a validated quality evaluation method with peony flower fingerprint chromatogram combined with simultaneous determination of sixteen bioactive constituents was established using UPLC-DAD-MS/MS.
