Phosphorylation of histone H3 at threonine 11 (H3T11ph) affects transcription and chromosome stability. However, the enzymes responsible for depositing H3T11ph and the functions of H3T11ph in plants remain unknown. Here we report that in Arabidopsis thaliana, PYRUVATE KINASE 6 (PK6), PK7 and PK8 enter the nucleus under conditions of sufficient glucose and light exposure, where they interact with SWI2/SNF2-RELATED 1 COMPLEX 4 (SWC4) and phosphorylate H3 at threonine 11.

Regeneration of oral craniofacial bone defects is a complex process, and reconstruction of large bone defects without the use of exogenous cells or bioactive substances remains a major challenge. Hydrogels are highly hydrophilic polymer networks with the potential to promote bone tissue regeneration. In this study, functional peptide Dentonin was loaded onto self-assembled peptide hydrogels (RAD) to constitute functionally self-assembling peptide RAD/Dentonin hydrogel scaffolds with a view that RAD/Dentonin hydrogel could facilitate vascularized bone regeneration in critical-size calvarial defects.

Platelets are a class of pluripotent cells that, in addition to hemostasis and maintaining vascular endothelial integrity, are also involved in tumor growth and distant metastasis. The tumor microenvironment is a complex and comprehensive system composed of tumor cells and their surrounding immune and inflammatory cells, tumor-related fibroblasts, nearby interstitial tissues, microvessels, and various cytokines and chemokines. As an important member of the tumor microenvironment, platelets can promote tumor invasion and metastasis through various mechanisms.

Hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus are the hepatitis subtypes that most commonly induce immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Although the pathogenesis of viral hepatitis-associated ITP remains unclear, it may involve antibody cross-reactivity due to molecular mimicry, the formation of virus-platelet immune complexes, and T cell-mediated suppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis. Moreover, there is significant correlation between platelet count and the severity of viral hepatitis, the risk of progression to liver cirrhosis, and clinical prognosis.

Aims: Doxorubicin (DOX) is an effective anti-tumor drug, but the cardiotoxicity severely limits its clinical use. Interestingly, a hypothesis has emerged suggesting an association between DOX-induced cardiotoxicity and mitochondrial disorders and oxidative stress. The mitochonic acid 5 (MA5) shows promise in alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction by promoting mitochondrial ATP synthesis and reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, though its potential in ameliorating DOX-induced cardiotoxicity remains elusive.
