Beta1-adrenergic receptor autoantibodies (β1-AAbs) promote atrial remodelling and ultimately lead to the development of atrial fibrillation (AF). Oroxin B is a natural flavonoid glycoside with a variety of biological activities, including anti-inflammatory and autophagy-promoting effects, and has therapeutic benefits for a variety of diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the potential therapeutic role of Oroxin B in the development of β1-AAb-induced atrial fibrillation and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms involved.

Cardiac cachexia, the terminal stage of chronic heart failure, is characterized by severe systemic metabolic imbalances and significant weight loss, primarily resulting from skeletal muscle mass depletion. Despite the detrimental consequences, there is no standardized and clinically-approved intervention currently available for cardiac cachexia. In the context of cardiac cachexia, accelerated protein turnover, that is, inhibited protein synthesis and enhanced protein degradation, plays a crucial role in skeletal muscle wasting.

The detection of lysine acetyltransferases is crucial for diagnosing and treating lung cancer, highlighting the necessity for highly efficient detection methods. We developed a portable, highly accurate, and sensitive technique using fast-scan cyclic voltammetry (FSCV) to determine the activity of the lysine acetyltransferase TIP60, employing a novel miniature electrochemical sensor. This approach involves a compact electrochemical cell, merely 3 mm in diameter, that holds solutions up to 50 μL, equipped with a conductive indium tin oxide working electrode.
