Recent research has revealed a close association between obesity and various metabolic disorders, including renal metabolic diseases, but the mechanism is still unknown. This study explored the role of p16INK4a in obesity-related kidney fibrosis and evaluated its potential as a therapeutic target. Using wild-type (WT) mice and p16 KO mice, we fed both groups a high-fat diet (HFD) for 6 months.

In this study, we utilized a murine model to explore the protective role of baicalin against cardiac dysfunction induced by vandetanib. Our findings indicate that baicalin administration effectively ameliorated vandetanib-induced cardiac injury.

Bioinformatic analyses reveal that MTCH2 overexpression is associated with critical clinical parameters of prostate cancer. Single-cell sequencing data indicate elevated MTCH2 expression in the prostate cancer epithelium.

However, existing HCY detection methods do not meet the requirements of clinical diagnosis. Therefore, there is an urgent need to establish new detection methods to meet the needs of clinical detection.

N-Myc downstream-regulated gene 2 (NDRG2) is a tumor suppressor highly expressed in healthy tissues but downregulated in many cancers. Although cell proliferation-related metabolism rewiring has been well characterized, less is known about the mechanism of metabolic changes with DLBCL.

Despite its efficacy, the drug's usage is curtailed by a litany of side effects, with L-OHP-induced peripheral neuropathy (OIPN) being the most debilitating. This condition can be classified into varying degrees of severity.

The tumor microenvironment of chemoresistant CRC is distinctly immunosuppressive, although the underlying mechanisms are unclear. The CRC data sets GSE69657 and GSE62080 were downloaded from the GEO database, and the correlation between TRPC5 and FAP expression was analyzed by Pearson method.

We proposed a "6-Step" general radiomics model to noninvasively predict the IDH mutation status by simultaneously tuning combined multi-sequence MRI and optimizing the full radiomics processing pipeline. Radiomic features ( = 3776) were extracted from multi-sequence MRI (T1, T2, FLAIR, and T1Gd) in low-grade gliomas (LGGs), and a total of 45,360 radiomics pipeline were investigated according to different settings.

Summer Black, Gui Fei, Kyoho Grape, Giant Rose, Shine Muscat, and Rosario Bianco are the six most popular table grapes in Wuxi city, Jiangsu province. Owing to the lack of comprehensive investigations of metabolites in table grapes, the metabolic causes of differences in their taste are unknown.

All patients were histologically confirmed diagnosis of locally advanced and recurrent or metastatic breast cancer with stage III/IV and had tissue HER2 status determinations using IHC/FISH. For the whole 224 advanced breast cancer patients, the sensitivity between dPCR in plasma and IHC/FISH in tissue samples is 43.

Background: The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between melanoma antigen gene C1 () expression and the prognosis for colorectal cancer (CRC), and to establish a mathematical model to comprehensively evaluate the prognosis of patients with CRC.
Methods: was selected by bioinformatics for its greater expression differences in CRC patients. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was used to detect the expression level of in tissue samples of 156 patients with CRC.

The mutation status of is important for anti-EGFR therapy in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients; however, detection of mutations in circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is problematic. We investigated tissue and plasma assays for mutations in CRC patients. The status of 407 CRC patients was evaluated using integration of amplification refractory mutation system polymerase chain reaction (PCR), melting curves and wild type DNA blocking (IAMB) in tissue and plasma samples.

Method: A total of 225 patients with histologically confirmed MA or NMA of rectal cancer were retrospectively enrolled. Radiomics features were computed from the entire tumor volume segmented from the post-contrast phase CT images.
Identification of effective biomarkers is crucial for monitoring the treatment and remission of colorectal cancer (CRC) and improving survival. It is particularly important to diagnose CRC before the tumor metastasizes (stage I-II disease) where possible, to provide the greatest opportunity for patient recovery. Here, we evaluated the clinical value of serum chemokine (C-X-C) ligand 7 (CXCL7) concentration as a biomarker for CRC diagnosis.

Aim: To explore the expression pattern and clinical significance of WISP1 in GC.
Objective: Increasing evidence has indicated an association between gut microbiota in gastrointestinal cancer and clinical outcome. Herein, we aim to develop a prognosis-prediction tool based on an immune-lipid metabolism signature, tumor cell-associated immune microenvironment, and lipid metabolism proteins inferred from the function of gut microbiota.
Methods: 16S gene ribosomal RNA sequencing was performed on 10 fecal samples obtained after tumor resection but before chemotherapy (EBVaGC = 4 and EBVnGC = 6).

Aim: To explore the expression pattern and clinical significance of VGLL3 in GC.
Methods: Integrative analysis was performed on the GC transcriptome profiles and survival information deposited in the ONCOMINE, GEPIA, and ONCOLNC databases.
Purpose: To observe the efficacy and side effects of combined treatment of bevacizumab and 5-fluorouracil in patients with metastatic colon cancer.
Methods: Sixty patients with histopathologically confirmed metastatic colon cancer were treated with bevacizumab and 5-fluorouracil (the study group) or 5-fluorouracil alone (the control group). 400 mg/m2 5-fluorouracil was given intravenously and maintained by a micropump (2400 mg/m2) for 46 hrs.
Background/aims: Aberrant expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) is found to be responsible for tumorigenesis, cancer development and chemoresistance. Although oxaliplatin is an effective chemotherapeutic drug for treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC), CRC cells can develop some mechanisms to evade oxaliplatin-induced cell death. It is urgent to explore the novel strategies to increase the chemosensitivity of CRC cells.
