Chinese KPSC members were identified based on self-reported ethnicity or self-reported preferred spoken/written language. Those aged ≥50 years who received two doses of RZV 4 weeks to ≤ 6 months apart were matched 1:4 to RZV unvaccinated Chinese members and followed through June 2022; second doses were accrued 6/1/2018-12/31/2020.

Vegetation recovery is an important marker of ecosystem health in the mining area. Clarifying the influence of vegetation recovery on the characteristics of soil microbial community and its assembly process can improve our understanding of the ecological resilience and self-maintaining mechanism in the open-pit mining area. For this purpose, we employed MiSeq high-throughput sequencing coupled with null model analysis to determine the composition, molecular ecological network characteristics, key bacterial and fungal clusters, and the assembly mechanism of the soil microbial communities in shrubs (BL), coniferous forest (), broad-leaved forests (BF), mixed forest (MF), and the control plot (CK, the poplar plantation nearby that had been continuously grown for over 30 a without disturbance).

Degradation of PAHs mediated by soil bacteria and archaea using CO as the electron acceptor is an important process for eliminating PAHs under methanogenic conditions; however, knowledge of the performance and mechanisms involved is poorly unveiled. In this study, the effectiveness and efficiency of NaHCO (CO) as an electron acceptor to stimulate the degradation of PAHs by bacteria and archaea in highly contaminated soil were investigated.

Biochar has been widely applied as a stabilizer in the remediation of cadmium (Cd)-contaminated soils in mining areas. However, the rebuilding of the microbial taxa of rare and abundant species by biochar and their cooperative resistance to Cd stress remains elusive.

However, the influence of biochar on the structure and function of the bacterial network under Cd stress is unclear. This research reports a pot experiment conducted to investigate the impact of 2.

Five English and four Chinese language databases were searched. Following independent screening, 1018 eligible publications representing 987 studies were identified, which was a three-fold increase from the previous decade.

By combining with the main parameters related to the effect of sewage treatment, we analyzed the environmental functions of the microbial communities. The microbial community structure of activated sludge was significantly different before and after the ARES system start-up.

The accurate prediction of the spatial distribution of pollutants at contaminated industrial sites is a requirement for the development of most soil remediation strategies, and is commonly performed using spatial interpolation methods. However, significant and abrupt variations in the spatial distribution of pollutants decrease prediction accuracy.

However, systematical study on the impact of persulfate (PS) oxidation on indigenous bacteria as well as PAHs removal is still scarce. In this study, the influences of different PS dosages (1%, 3%, 6%, and 10% [w/w]), as well as various activation methods (native iron, HO, alkaline, ferrous iron, and heat) on PAHs removal and indigenous bacteria in highly contaminated aged soil were investigated.

However, the applicable interpolation method has not been determined for contaminated sites due to the complex spatial distribution characteristics and stronger local spatial variability of pollutants. In this research, the prediction accuracies of three interpolation methods (including the different values of their parameters) for the spatial distribution of benzo[b]fluoranthene (BbF) in four soil layers were compared.

When predicting the future probability of events using time series, recurrent neural networks (RNNs) are an effective tool that have the learning ability of feedforward neural networks and expand their expression ability using dynamic equations. Moreover, RNNs are able to model several computational structures.

A precise predictive model is important for obtaining a clear understanding of the changes in dissolved oxygen content in crab ponds. Highly accurate interval forecasting of dissolved oxygen content is fundamental to reduce risk, and three-dimensional prediction can provide more accurate results and overall guidance. In this study, a hybrid three-dimensional (3D) dissolved oxygen content prediction model based on a radial basis function (RBF) neural network, K-means and subtractive clustering was developed and named the subtractive clustering (SC)-K-means-RBF model.

The cyclins together with highly conserved cyclin-dependent kinases regulate cell cycle progression in plants. Although extensive and systematic study on cell cycle mechanisms and cyclin functions in yeasts and animals has been carried out, only a small number of plant cyclins have been characterized and classified functionally and phylogenetically. We identified several types of cyclin genes in the rice genome and characterized them by phylogenetic, tandem and segmental duplications analyses.

Xa-25 was a bacterial blight resistance gene identified in a somaclonal mutant HX-3. A doubled-haploid (DH) population including 129 stable lines was derived from anther culture of a typical japanica 02428 and a typical indica HX-3 cross. The bacterial blight strain Zhe173, a typical bacterial blight strain in Yangtze River valley, was used to test the resistance or susceptible of the DH population lines, and the results showed that the resistance lines and susceptible lines were 62 and 67, respectively.
