Bisphenol analogues (BPs) pollution in the aquatic environment is increasingly a worldwide concern. There is an urgent need to understand the fate of BPs in the aquatic environment. In this study, we studied the biodegradation of eight BPs in Taihu Lake and discussed the effect of humic acid (HA), which was extracted from Taihu Lake sediment, on the disappearance of BPs.

However, changes in the solanesol content, plant growth, photosynthesis, and metabolome of tobacco plants after overexpression (OE) have not been previously reported. In the present study, these parameters, as well as photosynthetic gas exchange, chlorophyll content, and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters, were compared between OE and wild type (WT) lines of tobacco.

As azithromycin (AZI) was an important antibiotic pollutant in water, its toxicity to aquatic organisms had been investigated. In this study, the potential aquatic ecological risk of AZI was identified by assessing the toxicity on the feeding behavior and physiological function of Daphnia magna (D.

The aim of this study was to explore the roles of GPX2, a member of the glutathione peroxidase family (GPXs, GSH-Px), in cisplatin (DDP) resistance in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). GPX2 was found to be the most significantly upregulated gene in a DDP-resistant A549/DDP cell line compared with the parental A549 cell line by RNA sequencing. The knockdown of GPX2 expression in A549/DDP cells inhibited cell proliferation and , decreased the IC values of DDP, induced apoptosis, inhibited the activities of GSH-Px and superoxide dismutase (SOD), inhibited ATP production and glucose uptake, and increased malondialdehyde (MDA) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production; while GPX2 overexpression in A549 cells resulted in the opposite effects.

However, many patients treated with targeted cancer drugs are clinically observed to rapidly develop acquired resistance. Kinase gatekeeper mutation is one of the most chief factors contributing to the resistance, which modulates the accessibility of kinase's ATP-binding pocket.

Herein, we have demonstrated a mechanically bendable and conformally attachable polymer membrane microcavity laser array using digital interference lithography. The developed lithography system could distribute a number of subwavelength grating pixels with both high efficiency (1k pixels per second) and excellent versatility (ease of control in the pixel size, spacing, and grating periodicity) as the microcavity laser array, in which a pair of subwavelength gratings constitutes a distributed Bragg resonator microcavity via coherent interference, furnishes a vertically emitting microcavity laser array for convenient light coupling and utilization.

The efficient synthesis of these molecules with full enantiocontrol and high diversity remains challenging. Herein we report a Pd-catalyzed ligand-enabled γ-C(sp)-H arylation of -leucine and its derived peptides without using an external directing group (DG) a less favored six-membered palladacycle.

The largest difference in antioxidant activity was observed between the 36-h (G36) and the 120-h germination (G120) stage. We further assessed the dynamic changes in metabolites, phenolic acids, flavonoids, and phenolic biosynthetic genes in germinating Chinese wild rice.

In this study, a puerarin-loaded ultrasound sulfur hexafluoride microbubble contrast agent as a sonodynamic therapy (SDT) was developed to improve targeted drug delivery and pharmacodynamic effects in diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) treatment. Fluorescence microscope morphology was applied to confirm the fabrication of the puerarin - microbubbles (PMBs). The average size distribution and zeta potential of PMBs were 760.

Herein, we describe the construction of axially chiral styrenes through Pd -catalyzed atroposelective C-H olefination, using a bulky amino amide as a transient chiral auxiliary. Various axially chiral styrenes were produced with good yields and high enantioselectivity (up to 95 % yield and 99 % ee).

TGF-β-induced factor homeobox 2 (TGIF2) is a transcription regulator that plays essential roles in the regulation of development and cell fate decisions. Aberrant expression of TGIF family proteins has been observed in several cancers, including ovarian, esophageal, and colorectal cancers. Here, we report that TGIF2 mediates the EGFR-RAS-ERK signaling pathway to enhance the stemness of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) cells and, therefore, promote the progression and metastasis of LUAD.
