This study was to compare the relative strength of fixation and clinical outcomes of single lateral plate and double plating of comminuted supracondylar femoral fractures. Eight matched pairs of embalmed cadaveric femurs were selected. A gap osteotomy was created to stimulate an AO/OTA A3 comminuted distal femoral fracture.

Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of flexible internal fixation with locking plate for distal femoral fractures.
Methods: Between January 2015 and June 2016, 21 cases of distal femoral fractures were treated. There were 5 males and 16 females with an average age of 62 years (range, 32-88 years).

Objective: To analyze the effectiveness ofvolar locking compression plate (LCP) and radial styloid process plate for the treatment of type C fractures of the distal radius.
Methods: Between May 2010 and May 2011, 24 cases of type C fractures of the distal radius were treated, including 8 males and 16 females with an average age of 52 years (range, 23-73 years). Injury was caused by falling in 20 cases and by traffic accident in 4 cases.

Our previous study found that the artery interposed to vein did not develop atherosclerosis but rather underwent atrophic remodeling in hyperlipidemic rabbits, suggesting that local hemodynamic load was another important determinant for the development of atherosclerosis. This study focused on the cellular and molecular changes in autologous artery grafts derived from rabbits fed with high lipid diet for 1, 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks. Thickness, area of vessel wall, and lumen area were measured and analyzed on the grafted common carotid artery (GCCA) interposed to vein and on the right common carotid artery.

The effect of grafted artery interposed to vein on the atherosclerosis development and vascular remodeling is unknown. We investigated, therefore, the morphologic changes of artery grafts to vein in hyperlipidemic rabbits.
