Introduction: Thymoma classification is challenging due to its diverse morphology. Accurate classification is crucial for diagnosis, but current methods often struggle with complex tumor subtypes. This study presents an AI-assisted diagnostic model that combines weakly supervised learning with a divide-and-conquer multi-instance learning (MIL) approach to improve classification accuracy and interpretability.

However, existing microfluidic chips have been largely designed with static fluid structures for specific single-purpose applications, which lack adaptability and flexibility for diverse applications. Inspired by the general-purpose design strategy of the customizable chip of integrated circuit - field programmable gate array whose hardware can be reconfigured via software programming for multifunctionality after manufacturing, a conceptual-new reconfigurable microfluidic chip - field programmable topographic morphing array (FPTMA) is devised with exceptional structural reconfiguration, field programmability, and function scalability for general-purpose lab-on-a-chip systems that beyond the reach of current state-of-art lab-on-chip systems.

Bioreduction mediated by electrochemically active bacteria (EAB) with unique extracellular electron transfer (EET) capability is recognized as a promising approach for nuclear waste treatment. However, it is difficult to achieve bidirectional regulation of EET pathway through traditional genetic manipulation, limiting the bioremediation application of EAB.

We studied presymptomatic substantia nigra pars compacta (SNc) regional neurodegeneration in asymptomatic LRRK2 carriers compared to idiopathic PD patients using neuromelanin-sensitive MRI technique (NM-MRI). Fifteen asymptomatic LRRK2 carriers, 22 idiopathic PD patients, and 30 healthy controls (HCs) were scanned using NM-MRI.

Upon the addition of NFT, the fluorescence intensity of NCD at 450 nm was significantly decreased. Besides, a satisfactory linear relationship between the fluorescence quenching efficiency and concentrations of NFT was obtained.

However, existing electro-driven artificial muscles have been plagued with problems that hinder their practical applications: large electro-mechanical attenuation during deformation, high-driving voltages, small actuation strain, and low power density. Here, we design and create novel electro-thermal-driven artificial muscles rationally composited by hierarchically structured carbon nanotube (HS-CNT) networks and liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs), which possess adaptive sandwiched nanotube networks with angulated-scissor-like microstructures, thus effectively addressing above problems.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from endophytes have important roles in the regulation of plant disease. In this study, we investigated the biocontrol activity of the endophytic fungus Aspergillus niger strain La2 and its antagonistic VOCs against pear Valsa canker.

The over-exploitation of fossil fuels and rapid industrialization has released a large number of carbon dioxide. As a major greenhouse gas, it can induce the increasing global temperature and result in environmental issues. It is an urgent necessity to reduce carbon dioxide emission and increase carbon capture, utilization and storage.

During binding with the three flavonoids, the intrinsic fluorescence of CYP3A4 was statically quenched in static mode with nonradiative energy conversion. The fluorescence and ultraviolet/visible (UV/vis) data revealed that the three flavonoids had a moderate and stronger binding affinity with CYP3A4 due to the order of the K and K values ranging from 10 to 10 L·mol .
