The ethanol extract of the whole plant of Delphinium trichophorum Franch was subjected to a phytochemical study, leading to the isolation of ten unprecedented diterpenoid alkaloids, including nine delnudine-type C-diterpenoid alkaloids named trichophodines A-I and one kusnezoline-type C-diterpenoid alkaloid named trichophozine A. Additionally, seven known compounds were also identified. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HSQC, HMBC, H-H COSY, NOESY and X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data (1D, 2D NMR, single-crystal X-ray, and HR-ESI-MS). All compounds were evaluated for the inhibitory activities against LPS induced NO production in RAW 264.
