Results: Of the 39 patients, 85% showed homogenous enhancement and 15% showed homogenous mixed with peripheral enhancement.
Environment-related parameters, including viscosity, polarity, temperature, hypoxia, and pH, play pivotal roles in controlling the physical or chemical behaviors of local molecules. In particular, in a biological environment, such factors predominantly determine the biological properties of the local environment or reflect corresponding status alterations. Abnormal changes in these factors would cause cellular malfunction or become a hallmark of the occurrence of severe diseases.

Background: The relationship between obesity and prostate cancer aggressiveness is controversial in recent studies, partly because BMI is the only generally applied marker of obesity. Our study aimed at evaluating the correlation of periprostatic fat (PF) on magnatic resonance imaging (MRI) and adipocytokines with prostate cancer aggressiveness.
Patients And Method: A total of 184 patients who underwent radical retropubic prostatectomy (RRP) were analyzed retrospectively; different fat measurements on MRI slices and levels of adipocytokines were compared with the clinical and pathologic factors using SSPS ver.

Their disulfide bonds are readily cleaved by various thiols including glutathione, to result in a subsequent decomposition of the carbamate into amine followed by release of the active gemcitabine, which can be monitored by the fluorescence changes. In the biological experiment, prodrug 1 is preferentially up-taken by folate-positive KB cells over folate-negative A549 cells via receptor-mediated endocytosis to release gemcitabine causing cell death and to emit fluorescence in endoplasmic reticulum.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA near-infrared fluorescent dye Hsd was designed and synthesized, which absorbed as hemicyane and emitted as Cy7 and therefore produced a Stokes shift as large as 224 nm. Quantum chemistry calculation demonstrated that the large Stokes shift was produced by the combination of intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) and internal conversion. Significantly, Hsd showed selectively response to RNA in aqueous solution and fixed cells.
