Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Gouqizi () seed oil (FLSO) on D-gal induced inflammation in testis of rats and .
Methods: In aging Sertoli cells (TM4 cells) induced by D-galactose (D-gal), the expression of upregulated aging-related proteins. The number of cells counted by cell counting kit (CCK)-8 assay showed a high number of cells disposed with FLSO at 50, 100 and 150 μg/mL compared to that for the aging model.
Bioretention has been considered as an effective management practice for urban stormwater in the removal of pollutants including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). However, the accumulation of high-molecular-weight (HMW) PAHs in bioretention systems and their potential impact on the pollutants removal performance and microbial ecology are still not fully understood. In this study, comparisons of treatment effectiveness, enzyme activity and microbial community in bioretention systems with different types of media amendments were carried out at different spiking levels of pyrene (PYR).

Objective: This study evaluates the effects and mechanism of LBSO in the d-galactose (d-gal)-induced ageing testis.
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are key organic pollutants in the environment that pose threats to the ecosystem and human health. The degradation of high molecular weight (HMW) PAHs by enriched bacterial consortia has been previously studied, while the involved metabolisms and microbial communities are still unclear and warrant further investigations. In this study, five bacterial consortia capable of utilizing different PAHs (naphthalene, anthracene, and pyrene) as the sole carbon and energy sources were enriched from PAH-contaminated soil samples.

Liuweidihuang Pill (LP) is a traditional Chinese herbal formula that is often used in clinical practice to treat kidney deficiency syndrome. The present study investigated the antiaging effects of LP in a D-galactose- (D-Gal-) induced subacute aging rat model. The study also attempted to explore whether anti-inflammatory mechanisms that underpin the antiaging effects are mediated by the AMPK/SIRT1/NF-B signaling pathway.

PcDNA3-HisC-GGNBP2 was transfected to overexpress GGNBP2. Proliferation was tested by MTT assay, and migration and invasion were detected by Transwell assay.

Under the same inhibitory concentration (IC), Cu had the most significant impact on the treatment efficiency. During the shock-adaptation phase, Ag led to up to 4 times of biopolymers generation compared to that of the blank one; Hg inhibited the nitrification process but showed little influence on other parameters; Cu and Ag inhibited the activity of sDHA completely and decreased the content of ATP significantly, as well they caused abnormal ROS generation and corresponding CAT and SOD increment.
