In this study, we established 108 plots covering the entire Hainan Island, and measured the appearance frequency and species richness of plant species with extremely small populations, as well as the ecological environments and human disturbances during 2012-2013. The purpose of this study was to investigate the enhancing effect of dioscin on the absorption of methotrexate (MTX) and clarify the molecular mechanism involved in vivo and in vitro. Dioscin increased MTX chemosensitivity and transepithelial flux in the absorptive direction, significantly inhibiting multidrug resistance 1 (MDR1) mRNA and protein expression and MDR1 promoter and nuclear factor κ-B (NF-κB) activities in Caco-2 cells. Methods: By cluster sampling, 379 coke oven workers having worked for 8 hours were included in the exposure group, 398 coke oven workers having rested for more than 16 hours were included in the recovery group, and 398 workers having never been exposed to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the same plant were included in the control group. Lymphocytes were separated from their peripheral venous blood, and single cell gel electrophoresis was used to evaluate DNA damage; TaqMan-MGB probes were used to analyze ERCC6 gene polymorphisms.

In order to investigate the mechanism of suppressor of cytokine signaling 2 (SOCS2) on mitochondrial biogenesis, RNA interference and over-expression plasmid vectors of SOCS2 were used to transfect murine skeletal muscle C2C12 cells. Results demonstrated that over-expression of SOCS2 inhibited the differentiation of C2C12 cells, and reduced the expression of MyHC, MyoD and MyoG while elevated the protein expression of MSTN. Meanwhile the expression of PGC-1α, MDH, CPT-1 were significantly elevated in the RNA interference of SOCS2 group which were decreased in SOCS2 overexpression group.

Objective: To assess the image quality, diagnostic accuracy and effective radiation dose of prospectively ECG- triggered high-pitch spiral double scanning (Double Flash) mode of computed tomography coronary angiography (CTCA) using dual-source CT for the diagnosis of significant coronary stenoses.

Methods: Patients underwent both CTCA in Double Flash mode and conventional coronary angiography (CAG) and were divided into two groups according to heart rate (HR), namely group A with HR <65/min (62 cases) and group B with HR between 65 and 80/min (52 cases). All the coronary segments were evaluated by two blinded and independent observers for image quality on a four-point scale and for the presence of significant coronary stenoses (defined as a diameter narrowing exceeding 50%).
