A rapid and sensitive electrochemical sensor based on disulfides bridged β-cyclodextrin dimer-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube (DBβ-CD-MWCNT) nanohybrids with higher supramolecular recognition capability was successfully constructed for the first time. Simultaneous trace analysis of three phenols (4-aminophenol, 4-AP; 4-chlorophenol, 4-CP; 4-nitrophenol, 4-NP) in tap-water and wastewater samples was performed based on the constructed sensor. Strong aggregation-caused quenching of perylene diimides (PDI) is changed successfully by simple chemical modification with two quinoline moieties through C=C at the bay positions to obtain aggregation-induced enhanced emission (AIEE) of a perylene derivative (Cya-PDI) with a large π-conjugation system. Cya-PDI is weakly luminescent in the well-dispersed CH(3)CN or THF solutions and exhibits an evident time-dependent AIEE and absorption spectra broadening in the aggregated state. In addition, morphological inspection demonstrates that the morphology of the aggregated form of Cya-PDI molecules changed from plate-shaped to rod-like aggregates under the co-effects of time and water.

ß-Ga2O3 nanorod was first directly prepared by the microwave irradiation hydrothermal way without any subsequent heat treatments, and its characterizations were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM), UV-Vis diffuse reflection spectroscopy techniques, and also its photocatalytic degradation for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) was investigated. XRD patterns revealed that ß-Ga2O3 crystallization increased with the enhancement of microwave power and the adding of active carbon (AC). PFOA, as an environmental and persistent pollutant, is hard decomposed by hydroxyl radicals (HO·); however, it is facilely destroyed by ß-Ga2O3 photocatalytic reaction in an anaerobic atmosphere.

Egg white protein (EWP) was phosphorylated by dry heating in the presence of pyrophosphate. The antioxidant activity of phosphorylated EWP (PP-EWP) was then investigated before and after conjugation of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
