Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) ranks as the second most common disease among men and the fourth most prevalent cancer worldwide. Enhanced glycolysis and excessive lactate secretion are recognized as critical factors driving the progression of various cancers. This study systematically investigated the research trends associated with glycolysis in PCa through bibliometric analysis.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the aforementioned association and the potential moderating effect of regulatory emotional self-efficacy (RESE) among Chinese multi-ethnic adolescents.
Methods: A cluster random sampling of 8500 middle school students from 11 counties in Yunnan province was conducted.
Imidacloprid (IMI), as an emerging pollutant, is frequently detected in pesticide wastewater. Cobalt-based single-atom catalysts (Co-SACs) doped with sulfur atoms can serve as an efficient strategy to activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) and degrade organic pollutants. The paper employed density functional theory and computational toxicology to deeply explore the mechanism and ecotoxicity of IMI when S atoms were introduced into Co-SACs for PMS activation.

However, many unanswered questions and challenges remain, including the application of clinical trial data to routine clinical practice. Recognising the unique demographic profile of Asian patients with NSCLC and heterogeneous healthcare systems, the Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) convened a consensus meeting in Singapore on 26 April 2024 to discuss relevant issues spanning diagnostic testing to post-neoadjuvant treatment considerations and future directions.

Plasma-based cell-free DNA (cfDNA) sequencing has shown promise in bypassing these tissue limitations. Nevertheless, pleural effusion (PE) samples may offer a richer cfDNA source for mutation detection in patients with malignant PE.

Here, this study attempts to establish a strategy for sensitive characterization of chemical reactions during food processing based on on-line extraction electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (oEESI-MS). The process of making garlic into black garlic, a traditional global flavor food, was chosen as an exemplary research template.

Background: The growing population of elderly neurocritically ill patients highlights the need for effective prognosis prediction tools. This study aims to develop and validate machine learning (ML) models for predicting 28-day mortality in intensive care units (ICUs).
Methods: Data were extracted from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV(MIMIC-IV) database, focusing on elderly neurocritical ill patients with ICU stays ≥ 24 h.

Hydroxy radical (•OH) is a prestigious oxidant that allows the cleavage of strong chemical bonds of methane but is untamed, leading to over-oxidation of methane and waste of oxidants, especially at high methane conversion. Here, we managed to buffer •OH in an aqueous solution of photo-irradiated Fe3+, where •OH almost participates in methane oxidation. Due to the interaction between Fe3+ and SO42-, the electron transfer from OH- to excited-state Fe3+ for •OH generation is retarded, while excessive •OH is consumed by generated Fe2+ to restore Fe3+.

Despite its extensive study in thermocatalysis, temperature effect is typically overlooked in electrocatalysis. This study investigates how electrolyte temperature influences CO electroreduction over Cu catalysts.

Nonetheless, whether VAE has anti-diabetic osteoporosis (DOP) properties remains to be elucidated.
Aim Of The Study: The therapeutic mechanism of VAE on DOP is based on integrated proteomics of network pharmacology strategies to study related targets and pathways.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Type 2 diabetic osteoporosis (T2DOP) is a metabolic bone disease characterized by impaired bone structure and decreased bone strength in diabetic patients. Jiangu Decoction (JGD), a traditional Chinese poly-herbal formulation, has shown efficacy in mitigating osteoporosis (OP) and fractures caused by osteoporosis in diabetic patients in clinical trials. In addition, JGD has been proven to promote the proliferation of osteoblasts.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the frequency, patterns and clinical significance of radiographic findings around the humeral component of total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) and hemiarthroplasty (HA) at minimum 4-year follow-up.
Methods: The 6-week and minimum 4-year radiographs of patients who underwent HA and TSA were evaluated for filling ratios, changes in the humeral bone surrounding the component, and component shift or subsidence.
To address the issue of toxic cadmium pollution and meet the need for rapid separation from water body, a magnetic bio-composite material, marked as CFeMg, was prepared via a facile method. It explicitly includes components of cellulose nanofiber (CNF), FeO and Mg (OH). The microstructures and morphology were characterized and analyzed using XRD, FT-IR, SEM, and TEM.

Self-assembly plays a crucial role in the formation and allosteric processes of many biomolecules, water molecules can affect these processes. Cytosine (Cyt) has excellent self-assembly ability, forming a flat and ordered structure through hydrogen bonds (HBs) in the presence of water molecules. However, the vibration dynamics and interaction mechanism of water induced Cyt self-assembly are still unclear.

However, protein antigens are prone to degradation and inactivation, which alone is generally not sufficient to induce potent immune effect. In this study, the liposomal vaccine platform modified with mPLA (TLR4 agonist) was developed to improve the immunogenicity of glycoprotein E (VZV-gE) derived from herpes zoster virus.

To obtain the optimal solution, a multi-objective optimization model combining the power consumption, product quality, and loading balance was proposed for the design of an ESP rolling schedule. The thickness and heating temperature were simultaneously taken as the decision variables for coupling the temperature and loading in the rolling process, and the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II) based on differential evolution (NSGA-II-DE) was applied to obtain the Pareto solutions.

N-methyladenosine (mA) modification and LncRNAs play crucial regulatory roles in various pathophysiological processes, yet roles of mA modification and the relationship between mA modification and LncRNAs in cadmium-induced oxidative damage of pancreatic β-cells have not been fully elucidated. In this study, mA agonist entacapone and inhibitor 3-deazadenosine were used to identify the effects of mA on cadmium-induced oxidative damage as well as LncRNA changes. Our results indicate that elevated levels of mA modification by entacapone can rescue the cell viability and attenuate the cell apoptosis, while the inhibition levels of mA modification can exacerbate the cell death.
