Power dispatch is essential for providing society with stable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly electricity. However, traditional methods falter as power systems grow in scale and complexity, struggling with multitasking, swift problem-solving, and human-machine collaboration. This paper introduces Grid Artificial Intelligent Assistant (GAIA), a pioneering Large Language Model (LLM) designed to assist with a variety of power system operational tasks, including operation adjustment, operation monitoring, and black start scenarios.

Antigen receptor signaling pathways that control lymphocyte activation depend on signaling hubs and negative regulatory proteins to fine-tune signaling outputs to ensure host defense and avoid pathogenic responses. Caspase recruitment domain-containing protein 11 (CARD11) is a critical signaling scaffold that translates T cell receptor (TCR) triggering into the activation of nuclear factor κB (NF-κB), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR), and Akt. Here, we identify glutamine-rich protein 1 (QRICH1) as a regulator of CARD11 signaling that mediates an intracellular checkpoint for CD8 T cell activation.

The transition-metal-catalyzed ring-opening functionalization of aziridines presents a promising approach for synthesizing structurally complex amines. However, the rearranged functionalization of aziridines poses significant challenges. Herein, we report the first rearranged alkenylation of aziridines with aryl alkenes via Ni-Brønsted acid co-catalysis, leading to the rapid synthesis of a diverse array of allylamines with yields reaching up to 91%.

Nucleus pulposus (NP) tissue engineering brings new hope in the repair of intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD). IVDD is often accompanied by multiscale changes in the mechanical microenvironment, including the changes of mechanical property of collagen fibril, NP tissue, and mechanical instability of spine. In this study, a multiscale mechanically-adapted strategy is proposed to promote NP repair.

Dehalogenative deuteration of organic halides is an efficient and straightforward method for incorporating deuterium atoms at specific locations within target molecules. However, utilizing organic halides in photoredox chemistry, particularly unactivated alkyl halides, presents challenges due to their low reduction potentials. In this work, we present a general and effective photoinduced dehalogenative deuteration method for a diverse array of alkyl halides, employing DO as an economical source of deuterium.

Covalent organic framework (COF) membrane holds great promise in water treat-ment. Improving the antifouling property of COF membrane is critical for practical application while rare investigations have been reported. Grafting fluorinated chains on the COF membrane surface is expected an effective strategy but quite challenging due to the lack of grafting sites.

As network intrusion behaviors become increasingly complex, traditional intrusion detection systems face limitations, especially with data imbalance. To address this, we introduce the Nash equilibrium concept from game theory into classifier ensemble optimization, enhancing robustness in multi-class classification tasks. Additionally, we propose a network intrusion detection system based on a Conditional Generative Adversarial Network with Conditional Aggregation Encoder-Decoder Structure (CE-GAN) with a conditional aggregation encoder-decoder structure to mitigate data imbalance and improve classifier performance.

An advanced structure capable of hosting large electrochemical activity with desired balance in ion diffusion kinetics, faradic charge storage, and robust stability is the key to developing high-performance fabric-based electrochemical supercapacitors (FSCs). Herein, we develop a hierarchical multimetal oxides@graphene fabric (Cu-MO@GFF) as a supercapacitor electrode with accelerated ionic diffusion, adsorption energy, faradic redox reaction kinetics, and electrochemical reversibility. As a result, the Cu-MO@GFF presents excellent mass capacitance (534 F g), high rate performance (266 F g at 10 A g), and good cycle performance (96.

Certain patterns of children's serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) sensitivity to aeroallergens may offer useful clinical insight into forecasting the course and prognosis of allergic rhinitis (AR). The study aimed to investigate the changes in aeroallergen sensitization patterns in children with AR during the last decade and compare the sensitization pre- and post-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in Children who visited our center. This is a retrospective study, examining the serum IgE of nine aeroallergens from 21,362 children (1-12 years old) from AR who visited Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center from June 2013 to June 2023.

Mechanisms underlying functional axonal rewiring after adult mammalian central nervous system (CNS) injuries remain unclear partially due to limited models. Here we develop a mouse intracranial pre-olivary pretectal nucleus (OPN) optic tract injury model and demonstrate that Pten/Socs3 knockout and CNTF expression in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) promotes optic tract regeneration and OPN reinnervation. Revealed by transmission electron microscopy, trans-synaptic labeling, and electrophysiology, functional synapses are formed in OPN mainly by intrinsically photosensitive RGCs, thereby partially restoring the pupillary light reflex (PLR).

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are persistent organic pollutants primarily emitted by heavy industry, while their relationship with light industry has remained largely overlooked. This study quantified 16 priority PAHs in sediments from an urbanized river and its tributaries using gas chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry, assessing the impact of local light industries. The total sedimentary PAH concentrations ranged from 244 to 24,616 ng/g dw (mean: 2097 ± 2673 ng/g dw), with high molecular weight PAHs predominating.

Modulating the macro/nanoarchitecture of evaporators to effectively harness diverse renewable energy sources is of paramount importance for optimizing the performance of solar-driven interfacial evaporation. Inspired by the geometric structure of a windmill, we designed an innovative solar evaporator that expertly harnesses both strong and weak convection. During the purification of heavy metal wastewater, the maximum evaporation rate can reach 4.

Background: Methyl parathion, a potent organophosphorus insecticide, is extensively employed in agriculture and animal husbandry, leading to significant environmental contamination with pesticide residues, posing a grave threat to human health. This compound irreversibly inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in the human nervous system, resulting in the accumulation of acetylcholine (ACh), which is detrimental. Various enzyme activity-based assays have been explored due to its pathogenic mechanism, yet these methods are fraught with limitations.

Using only a linear feed-forward equalizer in the receiver, we experimentally demonstrate a single-wavelength 120 Gbaud PAM4 vestigial sideband (VSB) signal transmission over 10 km standard single-mode fiber (SSMF) at C band under the 7% overhead (OH) hard-decision forward error correction (HD-FEC) bit error rate (BER) threshold. An optical filter is used to generate the VSB signal by optically filtering one sideband signal after the modulator. In order to further increase the data rate, a pre-emphasis equalizer, and a simplified second-order nonlinear equalizer are then employed to combat both the linear and nonlinear distortion introduced in the transmission link.
