The ever-growing requirement for electrochemical energy storage has exacerbated the production of spent batteries, and the recycling of valuable battery components has recently received a remarkable attention. Among all battery components, copper foil is widely utilized as a current collector for stable zinc platting and stripping in zinc metal batteries (ZMBs) due to the perfect lattice matching of between metal copper and zinc, which is accompanied by the formation of multiple copper-zinc alloy components during the cycling process. Herein, a novel "two birds with one-stone" strategy through a one simple heat treatment step to revive the discarded copper foil in zinc metal battery is reported to further obtain a lithiophilic current collector (CuZn-Cu) with multiple copper-zinc alloy components on the surface of the discarded copper foil.

MXene two-dimensional materials have been widely used in energy storage, catalysis, sensing and other fields, NbC as a typical two-dimensional MXene material, its exploration in the field of optoelectronics is still in its infancy, especially NbC-based photodetectors are still to be developed. This paper demonstrates that two-dimensional films based on few-layer NbC have a photoelectric response in the wavelength range from visible to near-infrared. We have found that the light response performance can be easily adjusted by controlling the thickness of the spin-coated film, and that NbC photodetectors show great advantages in terms of wide bandwidth, polarization response, high switching ratio, etc.

Functional oligosaccharides, known as prebiotics, and ordinary dietary fiber have important roles in modulating the structure of intestinal microbiota. To investigate their effects on the intestinal microecosystem, three kinds of diets containing different prebiotics were used to feed mice for 3 weeks, as follows: GI (galacto-oligosaccharides and inulin), PF (polydextrose and insoluble dietary fiber from bran), and a GI/PF mixture (GI and PF, 1:1), 16S rRNA gene sequencing and metabolic analysis of mice feces were then conducted. The aim of the present study is to explore the differential expression of key molecules associated with Wnt signaling in both clinical non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissue and adjacent normal lung tissue, and to discuss the tumorigenic role of the activation of Wnt signaling pathways in NSCLC. Vertically, carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays were successfully fabricated on hexagon patterned Si substrates through radio frequency plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition using gas mixtures of acetylene (C2H2) and hydrogen (H2) with Fe/Al2O3 catalysts.
