A disease affecting L. plants in Tiandong, China, was identified in June 2022, resulting in yellow lesions and brown spots on around 5500 plants, leading to wilting leaves.
Researchers collected diseased leaf samples, disinfected them, and cultured them on potato dextrose agar, successfully isolating 15 fungal strains for further study.
The genetic analysis of three selected fungal isolates revealed a high level of similarity (99%-100%) to a previously identified isolate, confirming their classification and contributing to the understanding of this plant disease.
