Objective: This study targeted elucidating the intricate correlation of the blood urea nitrogen (BUN)-to-albumin (BUN/Alb) ratio with adverse outcomes (AOs) at 3-month in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) cases within a Korean cohort.
Methods: The cohort involved a comprehensive dataset of 1850 AIS cases from a South Korean hospital, spanning from January 2010 to December 2016. To discern the linear relationship of the BUN/Alb ratio with AOs in AIS cases, utilization of a binary logistic regression model (BLRM) was implemented.
The effect of serum glucose-to-potassium ratio (GPR) on cerebrovascular diseases has been previously validated. However, the value of the GPR in patients with severe intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) requiring ICU admission remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the association between the GPR and the clinical prognosis of critically ill patients with ICH.

Objective: To determine the pooled effect size of the association between childhood abuse and migraines.
Introduction: Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is an autoimmune disorder targeting the peripheral nervous system. The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), a simple indicator of immune function, is potentially related to its incidence and severity; however, this should be confirmed. We aimed to evaluate the role of NLR in the diagnosis, severity, and prognosis of GBS.

The role of albumin in Parkinson disease (PD) is not well understood, our study will investigate the association between the serum albumin level and risk of dementia, motor impairment, as well as survival outcome in PD. Data were obtained from the publicly available dataset in the DRYAD database (https://datadryad.org/).

Design, Setting And Participants: A multicenter study was performed and the demography data, etiology data and clinical features of 5338 AIS patients from 17 hospitals in Changde city were collected from January 2011 through December 2011.
Main Measures: Student's t-test and Chi2-test were used to compare the differences between the Han and Tujia ethnic group in the AIS.
