Cultured meat needs edible bio-scaffolds that provide not only a growth milieu for muscle and adipose cells, but also biomimetic stiffness and tissue-sculpting topography. Current meat-engineering technologies struggle to achieve scalable cell production, efficient cell differentiation, and tissue maturation in one single culture system. Here we propose an autoclaving strategy to transform common vegetables into muscle- and adipose-engineering scaffolds, without undergoing conventional plant decellularization.

However, the formation of droplet compartments and the subsequent amplification process in oil present significant drawbacks: instability under harsh thermal conditions, high background fluorescent noise inside droplets, and major difficulty in supporting multistep assays. Alternatively, droplets made of a hydrogel, or other advanced materials, have been adopted and demonstrate promising improvement over conventional droplet-based platforms.

Methods: In this study, we retrospectively analyzed clinical data and five types of MRI images (FS-T1WI, T2WI, Contrast-enhanced T1-weighted imaging (T1-C), DWI, and ADC) from 325 patients with pathologically confirmed breast cancer. Using the five types of MRI images as inputs to the ResNeXt50 model respectively, five base models were constructed, and then the outputs of the five base models were fused using an ensemble learning approach to develop a multi-parametric MRI model.
A novel chemoselective Brook-oxidation reaction of acylsilanes initiated by the carbamoyl anion has been successfully developed for the first time. This method enables the synthesis of diverse α-ketoamides and α-ketothioamides under transition metal-free and strong oxidant-free conditions with high yields and high chemoselectivity. It also demonstrates tolerance toward a wide range of functional groups.

Likewise, this research focused on circRNAs in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A lowly expressed circRNA hsa_circ_0072309 in HCC was screened by analyzing the circRNA microarray GSE242797 and GSE216115 and identified in clinical specimens and cells.

However, the inadequate electrical conductivity and significant volume fluctuations during the Na insertion/extraction process are major limitations to its practical application. Herein, few-layered MoS@SnO@C (FMSC) composites with hierarchical nanostructures were prepared through a two-step hydrothermal method.

Lung cancer is the second malignant tumor in the world and is the most prevalent malignant tumor of the respiratory system. In lung cancer, the P2X7 receptor (P2X7R) is an important purinergic receptor. P2X7R is a class of ionotropic adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-gated receptors, which exists in many kinds of immune tissues and cells and is involved in tumorigenesis and progression.

However, the shortage of donor corneas and complex surgical procedures drive the exploration of tissue-engineered corneal endothelial layers. This study develops a transparent, amphiphilic, and cell-free membrane for corneal endothelial replacement.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the key TCM and effective components for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and analyze its therapeutic mechanism by analyzing the prescription of TCM combined with chemotherapy for NSCLC. Firstly, the prescriptions of TCM in the randomized controlled trials combined with chemotherapy for NSCLC were collected, and the core TCM was screened by frequency statistics, association rule analysis, and cluster analysis.

Reducing early pathological vascularization may be a new approach in helping to regenerate tendon tissue. Conventional stem cell therapy and tissue engineering scaffolds have not been highly effective at treating tendinopathy.

Purine ligand-gated ion channel 7 receptor (P2X7R) is a cation channel receptor with Adenosine triphosphate ( ATP) as a ligand, which is widely distributed in cells and tissues, and is closely related to tumorigenesis and progression. P2X7R plays an important role in cancer by interacting with ATP.

Optimizing lead compounds through deuteration has proven to be challenging and unpredictable, particularly for compounds with multiple metabolic sites. This study presents the pioneering achievement of substituting up to 19 hydrogen atoms with deuterium on 1,4-benzodiazepine-2,5-dione derivatives, shedding light on the structure-metabolism relationship and the impact of multiple deuterations on drug-like properties.

The diffraction rings are designed on the top surface of T2SLs detector to control the incident light inside the device by forming the resonant cavity. We designed the structure of the conventional PIN InAs/GaSb T2SLs photodetector, calculated the energy band structure of the absorption layer, and analyzed the influence of the thickness of the absorption layer on the photoelectric performance.

Over the past decade, the global outbreaks of SARS, influenza A (H1N1), COVID-19, and other major infectious diseases have exposed the insufficient capacity for emergency disposal of medical waste in numerous countries and regions. Particularly during epidemics of major infectious diseases, medical waste exhibits new characteristics such as accelerated growth rate, heightened risk level, and more stringent disposal requirements. Consequently, there is an urgent need for advanced theoretical approaches that can perceive, predict, evaluate, and control risks associated with safe disposal throughout the entire process in a timely, accurate, efficient, and comprehensive manner.

However, current PCM fabrication methods suffer from their complexity and poor controllability, due to their reliance on altering physical conditions to initiate gelation and their dependence on specific materials. To address this issue, a novel PCM fabrication method is devised, which employs water transport-induced liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) to trigger the intermolecular interaction-supported sol-gel transition within aqueous emulsion droplets.

The etiology of CP is complex and often accompanied by diverse complications such as intellectual disability and language disorders, making clinical treatment difficult. Despite the availability of pharmacological interventions, rehabilitation programs, and spasticity relief surgery as treatment options for CP, their effectiveness is still constrained.
