In this study, we report the case of a patient with triple-negative breast cancer who achieved a pathological complete response(pCR)following neoadjuvant chemotherapy but experienced early recurrence and had a poor prognosis. A 46-year-old woman with a diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer(cT2cN3cM0, cStage ⅢC)received neoadjuvant chemotherapy with dose-dense doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide, followed by weekly paclitaxel. A 72 year-old man was referred to our hospital for a detailed examination of a recurrent rectal polyp. He had past histories of surgery and radiation therapy for prostate cancer at the age of 66 and endoscopic excision of a rectal polyp at the age of 70. Colonoscopy revealed a semi-pedunculated lesion surrounded by friable mucosa, which was positive under positron-emission tomography-computed tomography.

The purpose of this study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy of preoperative quantitative susceptibility mapping with that of the conventional T1-weighed 3D-FSE sequence for detecting IPH in cervical ICA stenosis in patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy by using histology as the reference standard.

Spontaneous reactivation of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is rare in individuals with previously resolved infections. This report presents the case of a 71 year-old Japanese woman who experienced HBV reactivation without any prior immunosuppressive therapy or chemotherapy. Before the onset of liver injury, the patient was negative for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) but positive for hepatitis B surface antibody.

According to International Commission of Radiological Protection, the equivalent dose limit for the eye lens for occupational exposure is recommended to be 20 mSv yr, averaged over 5 years, with no single year above 50 mSv. Some studies reported the measurement of assistant's lens exposure in diagnostic computed tomography (CT) examinations, but further investigation is still required in the association between the lens dose for assistants and various dose parameters. Here, we report a rare case of a depressed lesion exhibiting both tubular differentiated adenocarcinomatous (TDA) and intraepithelial foveolar neoplasia (IFN) components (with the histological appearance of foveolar hyperplasia due to low-grade atypia). We performed comprehensive analyses of somatic copy number alterations (SCNAs) and gene expression profiles of gastric intramucosal neoplasia (IMN) using array-based methods in 97 intestinal-type IMNs, including 39 low-grade dysplasias (LGDs), 37 high-grade dysplasias (HGDs), and 26 intramucosal carcinomas (IMCs) with stromal invasion of the lamina propria to identify the molecular mechanism of IMN. We herein report a case of interstitial lung changes in a patient with prolonged coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) with follicular lymphoma receiving rituximab and bendamustine who recovered after treatment with a combination therapy consisting of corticosteroids and immunosuppressive agents. There is currently no treatment strategy for prolonged pneumonitis following COVID-19, which can be life-threatening for immunocompromised patients. Thus, further investigation is warranted.

We report the case of a 68-year-old man who developed a sigmoidorectal fistula after marked response to enfortumab vedotin for advanced bladder cancer. The patient had undergone radical cystectomy with ileal conduit after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Six months after surgery, local recurrence in the pelvic cavity and multiple lung metastases were found, and the patient was administered pembrolizumab as second-line therapy.
