Background: Health impact assessment (HIA) is a procedure, method and tool for evaluating the potential health impacts of policies, plans and construction projects, as well as the distribution of these impacts on population. Majority of international studies on health impact assessment have focussed on conceptual papers or case evaluations, neglecting participants' views on policies.
Methods: A semi-structured interview with 30 health impact assessment experts was employed in this study, and the Nvivo software was utilized to analyse factors that influence policy identification.

Recent studies have showed that thrombosis is closely related to leucocytes involved in immunity. Interfering with the binding of leukocyte integrin Mac-1 and platelet GPIbα can inhibit thrombosis without affecting physiological coagulation. Mac-1-GPIbα is proposed as a potential safety target for antithrombotic agents.

Although early research on patient adherence has confirmed the importance of trust in doctors, the relative contribution and influence of the two-dimensional structure of trust on adherence has not been explored. Thus, this study examined the effects of patient trust in primary care physicians' (PCPs) benevolence and ability on medication adherence, dietary management, and physical activity.

Herein, we report for the first time that a pH and redox dual-responsive polymer prodrug displays prominent inhibition of breast cancer metastasis to the lung. The polymer molecule was synthesized from hyaluronic acid (HA) and hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) through disulfide bonds as redox-sensitive linkers that self-assemble into nanocapsules (HA-ss-HCQ nanocapsules) at pH 7.

Purpose: This case series reviews three patients (one with abnormal back elevation, one with corneal scar after fungal keratitis, and one with post-laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis central islands) treated with topography-guided Contoura surgery.
Myopia is the most common type of refractive errors characterized by excessive elongation of the ocular globe. With the increasing prevalence of myopia, improved knowledge of factors involved in myopia development is of particular importance. There are growing evidence suggesting that the choroid plays an important role in the regulation of eye growth and the development of myopia.

To maximize drug efficacy, a novel intelligent prodrug delivery nanoplatform with a tumor microenvironment-cleavable core crosslinking strategy was proposed based on a phenylboronic acid (PBA) modified polyethylene glycol (PEG)-polyglutamic acid (PGlu) polymer with disulfide-bonded CPT, called PBA-PEG-P(Glu-co-GlussCPT). The fabricated nanoplatform was a spherical micelle that could withstand dilution and carry a large number of therapeutic molecules to the tumor tissues, thereby minimizing premature drug release.

First, poly(L-succinimide) (PSI) underwent a ring-opening reaction with ethylenediamine to generate poly(N-(2-aminoethyl)-l-aspartamide) (P(ae-Asp)). Next, the thiolytic cleavable PEG, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid, and TAT were grafted onto P(ae-Asp) to synthesize the amphiphilic graft copolymer of mPEG-SS-g-P(ae-Asp)-MCA-DA-TAT.

Most of all, for multidrug resistant cancer cell line MCF-7/ADR which is more resistant against CPT, increasing content of CPT in the formulation is favorable for synergistic effect of CPT and GEM drug combination. Benefiting from simple co-assembling strategy, it is easy and convenient to adjust drug ratio of CPT/GEM to optimize the synergism of drug combination.

The synthesized copolymer could facilitate doxorubicin encapsulation with relatively high drug-loading content and efficiency. Inspired by mussel byssal threads, a core crosslinking strategy based on the coordination between catechol and ferric ions was introduced to improve the stability of nanomicelles and realize lysosomal pH-controlled drug release.

A biodegradable brush-type copolymer PHF- g-(PCL-PEG) based on a cleavable polyacetal backbone and biodegradable side chain modified with polyethylene glycol (PEG) was synthesized in this paper. This particular structure was directional to facilitate the formation of spherical or rod-shaped micelles. Flow cytometry showed that rod-shaped micelles displayed enhanced cellular uptake compared to spherical micelles.

Methods: PTK-PRK-CXL was performed on 14 eyes of 14 patients who developed corneal ectasia after LASIK. The visual acuity, spherical refraction and cylinder, corneal topography indices, thinnest corneal thickness (TCT), and endothelial cell count were evaluated at baseline and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively.
The aim of this research is to develop a novel type of camptothecin (CPT) prodrug micelles bearing boronate ester bonds as a smart nanosystem with enhanced cellular uptake and controlled drug release based on diblock copolymer abbreviated as PEG-BC-PGlu-ss-CPT. Particularly, boronate ester bond was introduced to achieve acid-triggered de-PEGylation and succeeding boronic acid-mediated enhanced cellular uptake. Besides, CPT was conjugated to the prodrug monomer through a disulfide bond to realize reduction-responsive drug release.
