A comparative transcriptomic analysis in adipose stem and progenitor cells (ASPCs) between obese and lean mice might facilitate the identification of novel adipogenic genes. Here, we compare transcriptomic differences in the ASPCs of subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) between the mice fed on a high-fat-diet (HFD) and the chow diet (CD)-fed mice by analyzing three independent single-cell RNA sequencing datasets. Six differential genes, including three up-regulated genes Aspn, Rrbp1, Fbln2 and three down-regulated genes Htra1, Plpp3, Efemp1, are identified and confirmed in HFD-fed mice.

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) opened a new era for the identification of molecular systems in the interstellar medium (ISM) by vibrational features. One group of molecules of increasing interest is cyano-derivatives of aromatic organic molecules, which have already been identified in the ISM on the basis of the analysis of rotational signatures, and so, are plausible candidates for the detection by the JWST. Benzonitrile considered in this work represents a suitable example for the validation of a computational strategy, which can be further applied for different, larger, and not-yet observed molecules.

While accurate mapping of strain distribution is crucial for assessing stress concentration and estimating fatigue life in engineering applications, conventional strain sensor arrays face a great challenge in balancing sensitivity and sensing density for effective strain mapping. In this study, we present a Fowler-Nordheim tunneling effect of monodispersed spiky carbon nanosphere array on polydimethylsiloxane as strain sensor arrays to achieve a sensitivity up to 70,000, a sensing density of 100 pixel cm, and logarithmic linearity over 99% within a wide strain range of 0% to 60%. The highly ordered assembly of spiky carbon nanospheres in each unit also ensures high inter-unit consistency (standard deviation ≤3.

Depressive disorder (DD) has become one of the most common mental diseases, seriously endangering both the affected person's psychological and physical health. Nowadays, a DD diagnosis mainly relies on the experience of clinical psychiatrists and subjective scales, lacking objective, accurate, practical, and automatic diagnosis technologies. Recently, electroencephalogram (EEG) signals have been widely applied for DD diagnosis, but mainly with high-density EEG, which can severely limit the efficiency of the EEG data acquisition and reduce the practicability of diagnostic techniques.

Inorganic cesium lead iodide perovskite CsPbI is attracting great attention as a light absorber for single or multi-junction photovoltaics due to its outstanding thermal stability and proper band gap. However, the device performance of CsPbI -based perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is limited by the unsatisfactory crystal quality and thus severe non-radiative recombination. Here, vacuum-assisted thermal annealing (VATA) is demonstrated as an effective approach for controlling the morphology and crystallinity of the CsPbI perovskite films formed from the precursors of PbI , CsI, and dimethylammonium iodide (DMAI).
