Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and its advanced stage, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), are increasingly recognized as a global health issue. This study examines the role of small RNAs in the spleen of MASH using a non-human primate model. We performed high-throughput small RNA sequencing on spleen tissues from MASH-primates, revealing significant alterations in the expression of small non-coding RNAs, especially miRNAs.

Nonreciprocal interlayer coupling is difficult to practically implement in bilayer non-Hermitian topological photonic systems. In this work, we identify a similarity transformation between the Hamiltonians of systems with nonreciprocal interlayer coupling and on-site gain/loss. Background: The adult mammalian heart is incapable of regeneration, whereas a transient regenerative capacity is maintained in the neonatal heart, primarily through the proliferation of preexisting cardiomyocytes. Neonatal heart regeneration after myocardial injury is accompanied by an expansion of cardiac fibroblasts and compositional changes in the extracellular matrix. Whether and how these changes influence cardiomyocyte proliferation and heart regeneration remains to be investigated.

In this paper, the distributed optimal control method is used to study the cooperative formation of heterogeneous multi-agents in the air-ground environment. The considered system consists of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).
