The copper-catalyzed enantioselective allylation reaction of -aryl aldimines has been developed using a combination of Cu(OAc) and SPINOL-based phosphonamidite. This protocol significantly broadens the substrate scope, such that imines bearing various -substituents on the -aryl were converted smoothly into homoallylic amines in up to 99% yield and 98% ee. Taking advantage of the diversity of the -aryl motif, three kinds of -heterocyclic compounds were constructed, respectively, from the corresponding homoallylic amines in merely one step.

Results: EA intervention and OxPAPC injection could relieve mechanical allodynia and thermal hyperalgesia caused by CIA. Paw edema and pathological damage of synovium were significantly ameliorated after EA intervention and OxPAPC injection. Furthermore, EA intervention and OxPAPC injection markedly reduced the contents of serum TNF-, IL-1, and IL-6, as well as the protein expression levels of synovial TLR2, TLR4, MyD88, and NF-B p-p65.

Methods: The male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group (=12), model group (=12), and taVNS group (=12). The CIA rat model was established by multi-point injection of emulsion prepared from type Ⅱ bovine collagen and Freund's incomplete adjuvant into the root of rat tail.
Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) of "Zusanli"(ST36) and "Sanyinjiao"(SP6) on serum TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 and expression of synovial matrimetalloproteinases (MMPs) and articular morphology in collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying relief of arthritis.
Methods: Thirty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control, CIA model and EA groups (n=10 rats per group). The arthritis model was induced by multi-point intradermal injection of bovine type Ⅱ collagen emulsion.
The first asymmetric synthesis of 3-methyleneindolines from alkynyl imines has been developed via a rhodium-catalyzed tandem process: regioselective alkynylation of the internal alkynes and subsequent intramolecular addition to the imines. The reaction proceeded with unconventional chemoselectivity and provided 3-methyleneindolines with good yields (up to 82% yield) and high enantioselectivities (up to 97% ee). Moreover, this transformation also features mild reaction conditions, perfect atom economy, and a broad substrate scope.

Here, we evaluate the feasibility of analysis and imaging of fingermarks via elements by synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SRXRF) and commercial X-ray fluorescence (XRF). As a proof of concept, we chose four brands of sunscreens to make fingermarks on different substrates, including plastic film, glass, paper, and silicon wafer.

Case Presentation: We present a case of Wegener's granulomatosis with unusual endoscopic appearance, involvement in a young man's gastrointestinal tract. A 45-year-old man was diagnosed with Wegener's granulomatosis 11 years ago, and relapsed with abdominal pain and melena.
Genome-wide association studies (GWASs) have identified multiple single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with Kawasaki disease (KD). In this study, we replicated the associations of 10 GWAS-identified SNPs with KD in a Han Chinese population. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated by logistic regression, and cumulative effect of non-risk genotypes were also performed.

We investigated 16 genetic variants, selected by bioinformatics analyses or previous studies, in 7 key genes involved in this pathway in a Chinese population. We observed a significantly or marginally increased KD risk associated with rs2720378 GC + CC genotypes (OR = 1.

However, only one Chinese replication study has been performed so far. To verify this association in another Chinese population, a hospital-based case-control study in Zhejiang province was conducted followed by an integrated meta-analysis, comprising five case-control studies of 1958 cases, 5615 controls and four transmission disequilibrium tests of 503 trios.

Objective: To improve the awareness of acute coronary artery thrombosis in Kawasaki disease (KD).
Method: Six KD patients with acute coronary artery thrombosis (Jan. 2004 to Jan.
We report the case of a six-year-old boy who presented with cardiogenic shock due to Kawasaki disease (KD). He was misdiagnosed at first as septic shock. After careful examination, he was diagnosed as KD complicated with acute coronary syndrome, which leads to cardiogenic shock.
