is an ungulate endemic to the Tibetan Plateau and is widely distributed in the Three-River-Source region. Predicting the seasonal variations in habitat suitability and understanding the effects of environmental variables on habitat use by this species will help formulate effective conservation strategies and clarify its niche characteristics. Based on point records of the occurrence collected during repeated field surveys in winter (January 2019) and summer (August 2019), we used MaxEnt model to predict the differences in habitat suitability and the distribution pattern of the in the Three-River-Source region using eight preselected environmental variables.

Objective: To study the effects of four kinds of extracts from anti-cancer Taditional Chinese Medicines on the activity and mRNA expression of CYP3A in rat's liver.

Methods: Rat's liver microsomal cytochrome P450 and CYP3A isoemzymes--erythromycin N-demethylase(ERD) activities were determined by UV chromatography, the mRNA expression levels of CYP3Al and CYP3A2 were detected by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).

Results: Extracts of Rhizoma Curcumae, Rhizoma Atractylodes and Rhizoma Atractylodes Macrocaphalae markedly increased the P450 content of liver microsomes and induced the enzyme activity of CYP3A, but extract of Poria cocos did not.

Objective: The new technology of tandem mass spectrometry is exerting a significant impact on the diagnostics of inborn metabolic errors, and allows to detect a number of these disorders in a single step. The aim of the present study was to establish a dry blood filter paper method for amino acid and acylcarnitine profiles test using tandem mass spectrometry and to apply the method for selective screening in high risk children with inborn error of metabolism.

Method: The study group consisted of 104 high risk cases of inborn error of metabolism from 5 pediatric hospitals in Shanghai and Beijing were tested from November 2002 to June 2003; 77 were males and 27 females, the means age was 4.
