Although several epigenetic modulating drugs are suggested to target cancer stem cells (CSCs), additional identification of anti-CSC drugs is still necessary. Here we showed that JIB-04, a pan-selective inhibitor of histone demethylase(s), was identified as a small molecule that selectively target colorectal CSCs. Our data showed that JIB-04 is capable of reducing self-renewal and stemness of colorectal CSCs in three different colorectal cancer cell lines.

Taking chlorophyll content, seedling height, blade width and canopy spectral reflectance of spring wheat at jointing stage in different lands as data source, by analyzing the correlations between canopy spectral reflectance and chlorophyll content, making regression analysis for red edge inflection points of canopy spectral reflectance and chlorophyll content of spring wheat, the chlorophyll content monitor models of irrigated and dry land were established respectively. The results showed that there is a significant difference in chlorophyll content of spring wheat, with chlorophyll content of irrigated land much higher. Although there is a good correlation between wheat canopy spectral reflectance and chlorophyll content in the two lands, the correlation of dry spring wheat is lower than irrigated land in visible light and near infrared band.

In order to explore the educational model of combined research aidding basic medical education and clinical practice, the educational form of combined research, teaching and clinical practice was adopted and brought into the education of medical genetics for medical students. The consequence of five-year educational practice has revealed that the educational effects and quality have been obviously increased, and the deeply activated studying initiative, self-studying ability, ability of cooperation, discovering and creative ability have been achieved in culturing practical general medical students with in-depth basic knowledge, great ability and high quality.
