Objective: To explore the effects of online mental health promotion intervention consisting of popular science articles and short videos on the level of mental health literacy (MHL), the MHL competency rate, and depression and anxiety levels of local residents.

Methods: Local residents in Shanghai were recruited for the study and assigned to a control group ( =53) and a study group ( =53) with a random number table. The study group participated in a 12-session mental health promotion intervention program that was carried out over the course of 4 weeks, while the control group did not receive any intervention.

The aim of this study was to understand the effect of deep vertical rotary tillage on the diversity and structural distribution of a soil bacterial community in cultivated land, as well as the interactions between microbial ecological molecular network and species. In this study, the cultivated soil under different tillage methods in the Yellow River diversion irrigation area in Ningxia was selected as the research object, and two treatments were set up, namely, deep vertical rotary tillage (DVRT) and conventional tillage (CT). Then, Illumina MiSeq technology was used to analyze the molecular ecological network of soil bacterial community under different tillage methods in the Ningxia Yellow River irrigation area.

Purpose: To compare laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI) with trabeculectomy as an initial treatment for primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) with peripheral anterior synechiae (PAS) ≥ 6 clock hours.

Methods: Patients were drawn from two randomized controlled trials. 38 eyes of 38 patients (PAS ≥ 6 clock hours) were treated with LPI (group 1) while 111 eyes of 111 PACG patients (PAS ≥ 6 clock hours) underwent primary trabeculectomy (group 2).

Background: Many studies indicated that short-term and long-term intraocular pressure (IOP) fluctuations in primary open angle glaucoma patients might lead to glaucomatous progression. However, seldom study has evaluated the long-term fluctuation of IOP in primary chronic angle closure diseases. The objective of this study was to investigate the long-term IOP fluctuation of primary angle closure diseases and its associations following laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI) with or without laser peripheral iridoplasty.

Background: Studies indicated that Mer might be the main contributor to the specific internalization of photoreceptor outer segments (POS) in retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). It is very important to understand the mechanism of POS phagocytosis under the pathway of Mer and its ligands. The objective of this study was to identify changes in gene expression profiles caused by Mer gene knockout (Mer-/-) during phagocytosis of POS in RPE.
