Ovarian cancer presents a significant treatment challenge due to its insidious nature and high malignancy. As autophagy is a vital cellular process for maintaining homeostasis, targeting the autophagic pathway has emerged as an avenue for cancer therapy. In the present study, we identify apolipoprotein B100 (ApoB100), a key modulator of lipid metabolism, as a potential prognostic biomarker of ovarian cancer.

Accumulating evidence indicates that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in molecular and cellular biology. Although many algorithms have been developed to reveal their associations with complex diseases by using downstream targets, the upstream (epi)genetic regulatory information has not been sufficiently leveraged to predict the function of lncRNAs in various biological processes. Therefore, we present FunlncModel, a machine learning-based interpretable computational framework, which aims to screen out functional lncRNAs by integrating a large number of (epi)genetic features and functional genomic features from their upstream/downstream multi-omic regulatory networks.

Negative life events are one of the risk factors leading to problematic social media use (PSMU) among Chinese college students, but the underlying mechanism between them remains unclear. Based on compensatory internet use theory, a moderated mediation model was examined, with two dimensions of fear of missing out (FoMO) considered as parallel mediators and positive parenting as a moderator. A total of 525 college students (57.

Objective: Endometrial cancer (EC) is an oestrogen-dependent tumour, the occurrence of which is closely related to an imbalance of oestrogen homeostasis. Our previous studies explored the effects of Resveratrol(Res) on oestrogen metabolism. However, systematic research on the exact mechanism of action of Res is still lacking.

A palladium-catalyzed dearomative diarylation of C2-deuterated or C2-nonsubstituted indoles through domino Heck/Suzuki coupling is established. Relying on electron-deficient phosphite ligand, side reactions including intermolecular Suzuki coupling and intramolecular C-D/H arylation are inhibited and a wide range of 2,3-diarylated indolines bearing vicinal tertiary stereocenters including deuterated ones are afforded in moderate to excellent yields (up to 94%) and excellent diastereoselectivities (>20:1). The catalyst loading can be lowered to 0.

  • Cervical cancer (CC) is a significant health issue for women, making the prediction of lymph node metastasis (LNM) crucial for treatment planning; this study focuses on creating a predictive model using MRI radiomics to identify LNM in CC patients.
  • The research involved 124 patients, splitting them into training (86) and testing (38) groups, extracting key MRI features to develop a scoring model that incorporates crucial risk factors related to LNM, with validation done on the testing cohort.
  • The model demonstrated strong predictive capabilities, achieving a high accuracy rate (AUC of 0.923) in the training group and a respectable performance (AUC of 0.82) in the testing group, indicating its

The concerted mechanism of thermal BBr -mediated [2+2] carbonyl-olefin cycloaddition is intriguing considering the conflict against the Woodward-Hoffmann rule. In this work, we report a mechanistic study of the titled reaction using density functional theory calculations. The concerted [2+2] cycloaddition mechanism is operative even for the truncated model system of 2-methyl-2-butene and butanone.

Controlling the conformation of medium-sized rings is challenging because of their flexibility and ring strain effects. Herein, we report non-Curtin-Hammett conditions for the precise control of the conformation of cyclodecenones to effect the first -selective transannular Prins cyclization, which enabled concise syntheses of the 5(10→1)-steroids bufospirostenin A and ophiopogonol A in only seven steps from inexpensive starting materials. Computational results indicated that the key cyclization was kinetically controlled and proceeded via either a Prins pathway or a carbonyl-ene pathway, depending on the reaction conditions.

Non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains an intractable disease, which is primarily due to tumor metastasis and the acquisition of resistance to chemotherapy. Therefore, there is an urgent need for novel therapeutics to overcome these obstacles. It was recently demonstrated that upregulated expression of monoamine oxidase A (MAOA) contributes to the progression of NSCLC.
