Background: Prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) inhibits the development of different malignant tumors; however, the underlying mechanism of inhibiting tumor development is not yet clear. This study aimed to elucidate how PGD2 inhibits the stemness of gastric cancer stem cells (GCSCs) autophagy and its underlying molecular mechanism to provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of gastric cancer.

Methods: In this study, GCSCs were enriched by serum-free incubation.

Coronary CT Angiography-Based Radiomics to Predict Vessel-Specific Ischemia by Stress Dynamic CT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging.

Rationale And Objectives: To investigate the predictive value of coronary CT angiography (CCTA)-based radiomics for vessel-specific ischemia by stress dynamic CT myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI).

Materials And Methods: Patients with typical angina/atypical angina/non-angina chest pain who underwent both stress dynamic CT MPI and CCTA scans were retrospectively enrolled. The following models were constructed for ischemic prediction using logistic regression and CCTA-derived quantitative and radiomic features: plaque quantitative model, lumen quantitative model, CT-fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR) model, integrative quantitative model, plaque radiomic model, peri-coronary adipose tissue (pCAT) radiomic model, integrative radiomic model, and quantitative and radiomic fusion model.

Combining Coronary with Carotid and Cerebrovascular Angiography Using Prospective ECG Gating and Iterative Reconstruction with 256-slice CT.

Objective: To investigate the image quality and radiation dose of combined coronary and carotid/cerebrovascular angiography with ECG gating and iterative reconstruction using 256-slice CT compared with the findings with the two examinations performed separately.

Patients And Methods: One hundred sixty-five consecutive patients underwent a single-injection single-pass combination of coronary and carotid/cerebrovascular CT angiography (group A), coronary CT angiography alone (group B), or carotid/cerebrovascular CT angiography alone (group C). We assessed the image quality of the combined and separate examinations and calculated the respective effective radiation doses.

Irradiation is a fundamental treatment modality for head and neck malignancies. However, a significant drawback of irradiation treatment is the irreversible damage to salivary glands in the radiation field. Although the protective effect of phenylephrine pretreatment on salivary glands following irradiation has previously been demonstrated, the exact mechanism remains unclear.

[Association between single-nucleotide polymorphisms in the IRAK-4 gene and allergic rhinitis].

Objective: To investigate the genetic association pattern between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4 (IRAK-4) gene and allergic rhinitis (AR).

Methods: A population of 379 patients with the diagnosis of AR and 333 healthy controls who lived in Beijing region was recruited. A total of 8 reprehensive marker SNP which were in IRAK-4 gene region were selected according to the Beijing people database from Hapmap website.

Objective: To investigate whether the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the FCER1A gene are associated with serum total IgE level in Chinese allergic rhinitis (AR) cohort.

Methods: A total of 378 patients diagnosed as AR was included in this study. Serum total IgE level was detected by UniCAP100 testing system.
