Activation of immunoglobulin E (IgE)-associated mast cells (MCs) triggers the onset of pro-inflammatory signals associated with type I allergic diseases. Although histone acetylation changes have been associated with inflammatory diseases, the impact of lysine-acetyltransferase (KAT) inhibitors on IgE-mediated MCs function is unclear. Potential anti-allergic effects of the KAT6A inhibitor WM-1119 on IgE-mediated MCs activation and allergic inflammation were examined in this study.

As a medicinal plant, is widely distributed in China. The purpose of this work was to analyze the chemical composition of essential oil from aerial portions, as well as to assess its repellent activity against and adults. GC-FID and GC-MS analyses enabled the identification of 15 components representing 90.

A growing body of evidence suggests that the dysregulation of long noncoding RNA is increasingly linked to many human diseases. Maternally expressed gene 3 ( MEG3) is one such gene thought to be affected. In the placenta of patients with preeclampsia, there is reduced expression of MEG3; however, its role and the mechanism involved are not clear.

Objective: To explore the effect of diallyl disulfide (DADS) on hippocampal synapses and learning and memory abilities in a mouse model of A1zheimer's disease (AD).

Methods: Mouse models of AD established by agglutinated Aβ1-42 injection in the lateral cerebral ventricle were randomized into 4 groups and treated with DADS at the daily doses of 0, 10, 50 and 100 mg/kg by gavage for 30 consecutive days. The learning and memory abilities of the mice were assessed with Morris water maze test; the structures of the dendritic spines and synapses in CA1 region of the hippocampus were observed under transmission electron microscope with silver staining; PSD95 and SYP protein and mRNA expressions in the hippocampus were detected with Western blotting and RT-PCR.

Recent report on epidemiology of acute kidney injury (AKI) is lacking for Chinese children. We aimed to investigate the risk factors for stage and prognostic factors for renal recovery in hospitalized children. Pediatric patients (≤18 years old) admitted during 2003 to 2013 were enrolled in this study.

This paper studied the effects of different concentrations of natural dissolved organic matter (DOM) on the passive sampling technique. The results showed that the presence of DOM affected the organic pollutant adsorption ability of the membrane. For lgK(OW), 3-5, DOM had less impact on the adsorption of organic matter by the membrane; for lgK(OW), > 5.

A chiral substituent code was proposed based on the features of secondary alcohols, in which a chiral center is attached to two substituents in addition to OH and H substituents. The new chirality code, which was generated by predefining positional information of four substituents attached to stereocenter, was applied to two datasets composed of secondary alcohols as the enantioselective products of asymmetric reactions. In the first dataset, the chemical reaction was catalyzed by a biocatalyst, lipase from Candida rugosa.

Objective: During sevoflurane anesthesia with Sofnolime for CO(2) absorption, the factors affecting the production of compound A (a chemical is nepherotoxic) are still not clear. This study is designed to investigate the effects of different fresh gas flow during induction, the vital capacity induction (VCI) vs. the tidal volume breath induction (TBI) on the compound-A production with a fresh Sofnolime or a dehydrated Sofnolime using a simulated lung model.

Background: Sevoflurane is currently used as a volatile inhalation anesthetic with many clinical advantages. A representative degradation product, compound A, was quantitatively measured to investigate whether there are different reactions between two kinds of water content sevoflurane formulations with different carbon dioxide (CO2) absorbents.

Methods: A closed-circle breathe bag with the Dräger Fabius GS anesthesia apparatus was used as an artificial rubber lung.

Background: Vital capacity induction and tidal breathing induction are currently administered for inhalation induction of anesthesia with sevoflurane. The aim of this study was to compare them using sevoflurane with respect to induction time, complications of inhalation induction, and compound A production in adult patients.

Methods: Fifty-one women with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I-II undergoing mammary gland tumorectomy were randomly assigned to receive either vital capacity induction or tidal breathing induction with 8% sevoflurane at 6 L/min followed by laryngeal mask airway insertion.

Doxycycline hydrochloride can enhance the chemiluminescence of potassium ferricyanide and luminol in alkaline medium. So a molecular imprinting-flow-injection chemiluminescence method for the determination of doxycycline hydrochloride was established by using doxycycline hydrochloride-imprinted polymers as recognition material and potassium ferricyanide and luminol as detection system. Doxycycline hydrochloride-imprinted polymer was synthesized using methacrylic acid as functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as cross-linker.

Three derivatives of 2, 6-diaminopyridine were synthesized with naphthyridine ring and -NH2, -OH and -NHCOCHCH2 groups. They are 2, 4-dimethyl-7-hydroxyl-1, 8-naphthyridine (DMHND), 2, 4-Dimethyl-7-amino-1, 8-naphthyridine (DMAND) and DMAAN. The binding ability of the derivatives of 2, 6-diaminopyridine for metal ions in acetonitrile was investigated using UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrometry.

A new fluorescent functional monomer DMAAN has been designed and synthesized for the first time. The monomer was expected to bind with cytosine via complementary hydrogen bonding under certain experimental conditions. The synthetic procedure of DMAAN is as follows.
