Alpha-Momorcharin (α-MMC) is a ribosome inactivating protein from Momordica charantia with anti-tumor activity. Previously, we had observed that modification of α-MMC with polyethylene glycol (PEG) could reduce toxicity, but it also reduces its anti-tumor activity in vitro.
