Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) provide great opportunities for synthesizing advanced electrode materials with hierarchical hollow architectures for energy storage. Herein, we report the facile fabrication of core-sheath nanoarrays (NAs) on carbon cloth (CC@CoO@S-Co3O4) for binder-free electrode materials with MOFs as versatile scaffolds. The hollow S-doped Co3O4 sheath has been facilely prepared using a two-step synthetic protocol, which includes the surface etching of CoO nanowires for synchronous in situ growth of well-aligned ZIF-67 and its following hydrothermal process.

Studies are yet to reveal the underlying biological limitations and molecular mechanisms associated with the inhibition of low temperature on the anammox process. In this study, metaproteomics was used to examine proteome modulation patterns of the anammox community occurring at different temperatures.

The effect of changes in pH and temperature on the processes of NO-N and NO-N reduction were also studied to identify the optimum control parameters for strengthening the preference of S on NO-N; thus, achieving the efficient accumulation of NO-N. The results showed that the affinity of S for NO-N was considerably higher than that for NO-N.

The results showed that nitrite was the most suitable electron acceptor for ANAMMOX bacteria, which could completely react within a short time. Nitrate was converted into nitrite by ANAMMOX sludge using the organic as electron donor and then participated in ammonia conversion, in the absence of nitrite.

An efficient and stable combined denitrification-partial nitrification-Anammox process with a dual recycling system was used to remove nitrogen from mature landfill leachate. After 155 d of operation, the NO as the PN-Anammox byproduct was almost treated with biodegradable organic carbon in raw wastewater in a pre-denitrification reactor by external recycling system. When raw landfill leachate with NH-N concentration of 1900 mg/L was treated, an integrated reactor with airlift recycling was combined with the PN and Anammox reactions to efficiently remove NH from the inflow.

The CD95/APO-1 (Fas)/Fas Ligand (FasL) signaling pathway is one of the primary apoptosis pathways, but the role and regulatory mechanism of this pathway in neuronal cells remain unclear.

Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is a major intracellular calcium store and ER calcium homeostasis plays a key part in the regulation of apoptosis. We have previously shown that Cadmium (Cd) induces apoptosis in osteoblasts (OBs), accompany by increased cytoplasmic calcium.

The goal of the present study was to investigate the toxic mechanism of Cd on rPT cells, and to elucidate the role of ERK1/2 signaling pathway in mediating the relationship between apoptosis and autophagy. We evaluated the cell morphology, cell cycle distribution, apoptosis rates, and the expression of related proteins.

It can not only stimulate cell proliferation but also inhibit cell viability, induce cell apoptosis, and cause cell death. Thus, the objective of this review is to summarize the available mechanisms and current evidence of what is known about the cell proliferation or cell death induced by ZEA.

The impact of waveguide geometry, operation wavelength, pulse width of the pump and probe waves, as well as the temporal delay between the pulses are discussed with a special focus on the temporal switching windows of the switch. The optimized switching performances are further applied to a switching node in a hybrid optical time division-multiplexing (OTDM) and SDM system.

Materials And Methods: Male Wistar rats were divided into control group (Con) and FD model group. FD model was established by stimulating semi-starvation rats via tail damping, provocation, and forced exercise fatigue until gastrointestinal motility disorder appeared, and then levels of motilin, leptin, cholecystokinin (CCK), and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) were detected in serum by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and in duodenum, antrum, and hypothalamus by immunohistochemistry, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction, and Western blot.
