Endoscopic Resection of the Bicipitoradial Bursa.

The bicipitoradial bursa lies at the insertion of the biceps tendon on the radial tuberosity. It is an unusual site for chronic bursitis. It can be treated conservatively with aspiration and steroid injection.

Split fracture: a complication of cerclage wiring of acute patellar fracture.

Introduction: Iatrogenic patellar fracture is reported as a complication of patella procedures, such as medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction, reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee using bone-patellar tendon-bone technique, and resurfacing the patella in total knee arthroplasty.

Case Presentation: A 65-year-old lady with right patella fracture was treated with open reduction and cerclage wiring. An iatrogenic split fracture was noted during tension of the cerclage wire and was successfully managed by screw fixation of the split fracture.

Acute compartment syndrome after medial gastrocnemius tear.

Unlabelled: Acute compartment syndrome after medial gastrocnemius tear is very rare. It can involve the superficial posterior compartment alone or progress to involve all the 4 compartments of the lower legs. Those patients with high pain tolerance and minor trauma can lead to delayed presentation.

Corrective osteotomy in femoral non-union in drug-induced hypophosphataemic osteomalacia.

Adefovir/tenofovir are commonly used antiviral agents in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection (CHB). We report a case of CHB-related cirrhosis presenting with sequential femoral neck fractures. Operative reduction and fixation was performed.

Spinal epidural extramedullary haematopoiesis in β-thalassaemia intermedia.

A 22-year-old man known to have β-thalassaemia intermedia since childhood presented with bilateral lower limb weakness after spinal anaesthesia for an elective minor operation of his left leg. MRI and CT scans were performed to rule out acute epidural haematoma; coincidental imaging features of marrow hyperplasia and spinal epidural extramedullary haematopoiesis were found. This article will present and discuss the imaging features, differential diagnosis, management and literature review of the rare occurrence of extramedullary haematopoiesis in the spinal epidural space.

Extraskeletal osteochondroma of the medial arch of the foot.

Unlabelled: Extraskeletal osteochondromas are benign, slow growing, and often painless neoplasms. Although they are histologically similar to conventional osteochondromas, extraskeletal osteochondromas are not attached to a parent bone. When a well-defined osseous mass in the soft tissue without any direct continuity with the adjacent bone or joint is encountered, a diagnosis of extraskeletal osteochondroma should be strongly considered.
