Osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is a disease that is commonly seen in the clinic, but its detection rate remains limited, especially at the early stage. We developed an ultrasound molecular imaging (UMI) approach for early diagnosis of ONFH by detecting the expression of integrin αvβ3 during the pathological changes in steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SIONFH) in rat models. Although there are emerging innovations of molecular imaging probes to detect and image tumors, most of these molecular dyes and nanoparticles have limitations of low targetability in tumors and fast clearance when administered systemically. In contrast, some bacteria, such as , can selectively proliferate in a hypoxic environment inside of a tumor for several days, which highlights the potential for the development of a genetically encoded multimodal imaging probe to monitor the progress of the tumor. Vertically ordered mesoporous silica film (VMSF) with uniform mesoporous channels perpendicular to electrode substrate has a wide range of applications in direct electroanalysis of complex samples. The application of rapid and accurate diagnostic methods can improve colorectal cancer (CRC) survival rates dramatically. Here, we used a non-targeted metabolic analysis strategy based on internal extractive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (iEESI-MS) to detect metabolite ions associated with the progression of CRC from 172 tissues (45 stage I/II CRC, 41 stage III/IV CRC, and 86 well-matched normal tissues). A support vector machine (SVM) model based on 10 differential metabolite ions for differentiating early-stage CRC from normal tissues was built with a good prediction accuracy of 92.

Oxygen vacancy manipulation and hierarchical morphology construction in oxygen-containing semiconductors have been demonstrated to be effective strategies for developing high efficiency photocatalysts.
