Herein, we report morphology controlled growth of layered VO on VC by the oxidation of V-MXenes at different temperatures and used it as a cathode material for Zn-ion batteries (ZIBs). Hence, the VO nanoparticles are uniformly grown on the VC nanosheets with interlinked disordered carbon which provide fast diffusion and high rate performance in aqueous zinc-ion batteries.

We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the influence of fentanyl supplementation for arthroscopic knee surgery.
Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, EBSCO and Cochrane Library databases through May 2019 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing the efficacy and safety of fentanyl supplementation for arthroscopic knee surgery.
Much evidence suggested that cholesterol, eicosanoid and phospholipid metabolism plays crucial roles in inflammation, atherosclerosis, carcinogenesis, etc. Therefore, fast and accurate quantification of the metabolites in these metabolic pathways is necessary for discovering the molecular mechanisms and biomarkers of related diseases. In this assay, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography combined with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry platform (UPLC-QqQ-MS) based protocols were developed to simultaneously quantify a total of 104 key metabolites including 32 phospholipids (PLs), 44 eicosanoids (EAs), 28 oxysterols and bile acids (BAs), within 15 minutes.

Mediator has four conserved modules, Head, Middle, Tail, and Kinase, and has been implicated in nearly all aspects of gene regulation. The Tail module has been shown to recruit the Mediator complex to the enhancer or upstream activating sequence (UAS) regions of genes via interactions with transcription factors, and the Kinase module facilitates the transition of Mediator from the UAS/enhancer to the preinitiation complex via protein phosphorylation.

The co-existence of many mycotoxins in animal feed has been reported worldwide, thus it is important to evaluate the combined cytotoxic effects among these mycotoxins. This study analysed the combined cytotoxic effects of the four mycotoxins in rat liver cells (BRL) and preliminary investigate their molecular mechanism.

Due to the privacy concerns and legal restrictions on data sharing, these programs apply various strategies to mitigate privacy risk. However, the activities of participants and research program sponsors, particularly on social media, might reveal an individual's membership in a study, making it easier to recognize participants' records and uncover the information they have yet to disclose.

Particulate sulfate (pSO) and gaseous HSO (SA) are two major products of SO and they play important roles in the haze formation and new particle formation (NPF), respectively. We examined the change in pSO and SA concentrations in response to reduced SO concentration using long-term measurement data in Beijing.

We conducted a single-arm phase II trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of S-1, oxaliplatin and apatinib (SOXA) in patients with locally advanced gastric adenocarcinoma.
Methods: Treatment-naïve patients received three preoperative cycles of S-1 (80-120 mg/day on days 1-14) and oxaliplatin (130 mg/m on day 1) and two cycles of apatinib (500 mg/day for 21 days) at 3-week intervals, followed by surgery.
Direct single-molecule sequencing of full-length transcripts allows efficient identification of gene isoforms, which is apt to alternative splicing (AS), polyadenylation, and long non-coding RNA analyses. However, the identification of gene isoforms and long non-coding RNAs with novel regulatory functions remains challenging, especially for species without a reference genome. Here, we present a comprehensive analysis of a combined long-read and short-read transcriptome sequencing in .

In the search for a rapid, sensitive, portable and low-cost method to detect this pathogen, we developed a wax-printed paper-based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (P-ELISA) based on microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (μPADs), with the whole operation time being less than 3 h and only needing 5 μl samples for detection. The limit of detection (LOD) of E.

Purpose: Recent task-based fMRI studies have shown that Persistent Somatoform Pain Disorder (PSPD) patients demonstrated aberrant activity in a wide range of brain regions associated with sensation, cognition and emotion. However, these specific task-based studies could not clearly uncover the alterations in the spontaneous brain networks that were associated with the general pain-related symptoms in PSPD.
Patients And Methods: In the present study, 13 PSPD patients and 23 matched healthy controls (HCs) were enrolled.
Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a highly lethal infectious disease in humans caused by tick-borne Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV). To determine the potential risk of CCHF in the pastoral area of Northwestern China, the presence of antibody to CCHFV in the sera of two most common tick hosts, sheep and camels, in Inner Mongolia of China was evaluated. The purified recombinant nucleocapsid protein (NP) of CCHFV was prepared from a prokaryotic vector expressing the NP encoding gene, which was employed as the antigen to probe antibody against CCHFV in tick vectors using an immunoblotting assay.

Objectives: This study aims to investigate the changes in bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) expression and mechanical properties in the healing process of rats with osteoporotic hindlimb fracture.
Methods: 120 rat models of osteoporotic hindlimb fracture were established and randomly divided into experimental group and control group. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) used to detect the BMP-2 expression in the rat's callus tissue on the fractured side.

Objective: To reduce the effect of pre-existing IgE on the omalizumab determination, the authors proposed a novel ELISA that can eliminate pre-existing IgE with by acid dissociation.
Method: The method was developed by dissociating the IgE-omalizumab complex with glacial acetic acid, and bio-IgE was added to bind the free omalizumab in serum, then bio-IgE-complex was captured by the immobilized streptavidin and detected by HRP-conjugated mouse anti-human IgG.
Segregation distortion is a common phenomenon that has been observed in genetics and plant breeding; however, the mechanism of segregation distortion is unknown. In the present study, three half-sib F populations derived from three overwinter (perennial) rice varieties (W1, W2, and W3) crossed to the rice variety Minghui725 (MH725) were developed to construct three half-sib linkage maps. We established linkage map lengths of 2032.

To better understand the mechanisms behind NPF, chamber experiments can be used to simulate this phenomenon under well-controlled conditions. Recent advancements in instrumentation have made it possible to directly detect the first steps of NPF of molecular clusters (~1-2 nm in diameter) and to calculate quantities such as the formation and growth rates of these clusters.

Owing to their unique nanosize effect and surface effect, pseudocapacitive quantum dots (QDs) hold considerable potential for high-efficiency supercapacitors (SCs). However, their pseudocapacitive behavior is exploited in aqueous electrolytes with narrow potential windows, thereby leading to a low energy density of the SCs. Here, a film electrode based on dual-confined FeOOH QDs (FQDs) with superior pseudocapacitive behavior in a high-voltage ionic liquid (IL) electrolyte is put forward.
