Leiomyosarcoma: a rare presentation as multifocal lesion.

Leiomyosarcoma is a rare type of connective tissue cancer, accounting for 5-10% of all soft tissue sarcomas. We present a case of leiomyosarcoma as unusual multifocal presentation. Retroperitoneal, mediastinal, pulmonary, uterine and bony regions were all involved at the time of presentation.

Adrenocortical Oncocytic Carcinoma and Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Incidentally Detected in an Asymptomatic Patient by F-18 FDG PET/CT.

F-18 FDG is the most widely used tracer in molecular imaging and it is applied for many purposes mainly in malignant diseases. Incidental finding are common in FDG-PET/CT imaging and includes benign and malignant lesions. Among the rare tumors‎, adrenal oncocytomas are uncommon findings and incidental findings of thyroid malignancies are not rare.

Localization of Epstein-Barr virus to infiltrating lymphocytes in breast carcinomas and not malignant cells.

The pathogenesis of breast cancer is unknown. In recent years, a number of studies have implicated a role for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in a subset of cases. However, these findings are controversial and others have failed to find any link between the virus and this malignancy.
