A 73-year-old male was admitted to our hospital due to fever and right lower limb pain. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) revealed occlusion from the right common femoral artery to the right superficial femoral artery and from the left common iliac artery to the left internal and external iliac arteries, leading to a diagnosis of bilateral acute arterial occlusion of the lower extremity. Emergency thrombectomy was performed to improve arterial blood flow.

The pathogenesis of cyclophosphamide (CY)-induced cardiotoxicity remains unknown, and methods for its prevention have not been established. Very-long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (VLCPUFAs; C24-38) constitute a unique class of PUFA that have important biological roles, but the lack of a suitable dietary source has limited research in this field. We produced an n-3 C24-28-rich VLCPUFA-oil concentrated from fish oil to study its bioavailability and physiological functions in C57BL/6J mice. The serum and retinal C24:5 levels increased significantly compared to control after a single-dose gavage, and VLCPUFAs were incorporated into the liver, brain, and eyes after 8-week supplementation.

With the ongoing climate and energy crises, thermoelectric conversion has slowly emerged as a clean and reliable alternative energy source for small Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Commercially available thermoelectric generators (TEGs) are typically composed of expensive and toxic BiTe-based thermoelectric materials and require complicated and energy-intensive device assembly processes.
