Intravascular accumulation of atypical large lymphoid cells is a rare condition that necessitates a differential diagnosis of intravascular lymphoma (IVL). Recently, a non-neoplastic condition known as benign atypical intravascular CD30+ T-cell proliferation (BAITP) has been identified. This condition is characterized by CD30+ and CD3+ or CD4+ atypical T-cells and is often associated with trauma and chronic inflammation.

Summary: An 82-year-old woman with a 60-year history of a lung tumor presented with hypoglycemia. Non-islet cell tumor hypoglycemia (NICTH) was suspected; however, her hypoglycemia stabilized with supplemental food. She was discharged, based on her wishes, and planned to undergo surgery later.

Foreign Body Granuloma After Embolization of Internal Iliac Artery Aneurysm Using N-Butyl-2-Cyanoacrylate: A Case Report.

Foreign body granulomas following endovascular treatment are rare complications and are mostly reported in the brain or cutaneous vascular tissues. To the best of our knowledge, no study to date has reported on foreign body granulomas in the abdomen after injection of N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (NBCA)-lipiodol mixture into the abdominal arteries. This study reports a case of foreign body granuloma that appeared 12 months after the embolization of a right internal iliac artery aneurysm using an NBCA-lipiodol mixture, which posed challenges in differentiation from malignant tumors.

We describe a case of cardiac angiosarcoma, with pulmonary and adrenal metastases, diagnosed via fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography-guided adrenal biopsy.

Learning Objective: Cardiac angiosarcoma should be considered in a patient with a cardiac mass with no tumor cells in the pericardial fluid.

This study aims to identify the relationship between jump height and the kinetic and kinematic parameters of the hip, knee, and ankle joints during countermovement jump (CMJ) in elite male athletes. Sixty-six elite male athletes from various sports (strength and power, winter downhill, combat, ball game, and aquatic) performed maximal effort CMJs with hands and arms crossed against their chests on force platforms. Jumping motion in the sagittal plane was recorded using video analysis and the peak torque, power, and angular velocity of the right hip, knee, and ankle joints were calculated during the propulsive phase.

Here we report on room-temperature observation of interface excitons in mixed-dimensional heterostructures consisting of two-dimensional tungsten diselenide and one-dimensional carbon nanotubes.

Optical nonlinear processes are indispensable in a wide range of applications, including ultrafast lasers, microscopy, and quantum information technologies. Among the diverse nonlinear processes, second-order effects usually overwhelm the higher-order ones, except in centrosymmetric systems, where the second-order susceptibility vanishes to allow the use of the third-order nonlinearity. Here we demonstrate a hybrid photonic platform whereby the balance between second- and third-order susceptibilities can be tuned flexibly.
