Droplets should exhibit various dynamical phenomena when adhered to a surface; not all of them are realized in classical fluids. Visualization of superfluid ^{4}He pendant droplets revealed that the droplets were horizontally translated on a flat surface, bouncing off at the corner, known as the Noether mode that reflects the translation symmetry. The droplets exhibited another mode in vertical oscillations with high amplitude that included oscillation of the droplet edge.

Among 13 599 registered individuals, the analysis included 285 subjects who had taken cefditoren pivoxil during the first trimester of pregnancy. The rates of stillbirth, miscarriage, and elective terminations were 0.

To develop a novel rotaxane for this application, an isophthalamide macrocycle and a neutral phenanthroline axle were used. Stable pseudorotaxanes are known to be formed using hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions.

Counseling information, including drug usage and participants' demographic information, was collected between April 1988 and December 2017. Pregnancy outcome data, including major birth defects, were obtained using a questionnaire administered 1 month after delivery.

Partial dehydration can potentially result in hydrous materials with a porous nature, which maintains the parent structure of the material, and deprotonation causes oxidation in the hydrous materials. Li-intercalation experiments were conducted on the hydrous iron(II) phosphate mineral, vivianite (Fe2+3(PO)·8HO), and its oxidized and partially dehydrated product, santabarbaraite.

Methods Four hundred and fifty-eight subjects who received health checkups at Meijo Hospital in 2021 and underwent CT within a year of US in the past decade were analyzed. The mean age was 52.

The usefulness of some C products such as C5a and sC5b-9 for diagnostic and prognostic purposes remains controversial. On the other hand, decreased renal function is being observed in many patients with or without nephritis as a background factor in progressively aging societies.

Aim: To determine the prevalence and clinical correlates of NAFLD in a large cohort of patients with T2DM.
Methods: Four hundred thirty-seven participants with T2DM who consulted at Meijo Hospital from April 2019 to September 2020 and underwent computed tomography (CT) were assessed.
For leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs), especially pranlukast, safety data during pregnancy is limited. Therefore, we conducted a prospective, two-centered cohort study using data from teratogen information services in Japan to clarify the effects of LTRA exposure during pregnancy on maternal and fetal outcomes. Pregnant women who being counseled on drug use during pregnancy at two facilities were enrolled.

The impact of COVID-19 on liver-transplant recipients is unclear. Thus, it is currently unknown whether liver-transplant recipients are at a higher risk of developing complications related to COVID-19.

Methods: Pregnancy outcome data were obtained for women at two Japanese facilities that provide counseling on drug use during pregnancy between April 1988 and December 2017. The incidence of major malformation was calculated among infants born to women taking domperidone (n = 519), nonteratogenic drugs (control, n = 1673), or metoclopramide (reference, n = 241) during the first trimester of pregnancy.

The pathological effects of copper deficiency (COD) are well known. However, the pathogenesis of cardiomyopathy resulting from COD remains unclear. In this study, aimed to elucidate the pathogenesis of COD-induced cardiomyopathy by examining the morphology of the cardiovascular system in copper-deficient rats using histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and scanning and transmission electron microscopy.

The existence of a new form of diversity in ice polymorphism has recently been debated in both experimental and theoretical studies, questioning whether hydrogen-disordered ice can transform into multiple hydrogen-ordered phases, contrary to the known one-to-one correspondence between disordered ice and its ordered phase. Here, we report a high-pressure phase, ice XIX, which is a second hydrogen-partially-ordered phase of ice VI.

Under certain conditions, ice with a cubic stacking sequence can also be formed, but ideal ice I without stacking-disorder has never been formed until recently. Here we demonstrate a route to obtain ice I without stacking-disorder by degassing hydrogen from the high-pressure form of hydrogen hydrate, C, which has a host framework isostructural with ice I.

The developed cell is based on Bridgman type opposed anvil cells with electrodes immersed into holes in the anvils in order to make the electrode area constant under compression. As a feasibility experiment, dielectric measurements for HO were conducted up to 6.

Despite the considerable effort to understand order-disorder transition in ice crystals, there is an inconsistency among the various experiments and calculations for ice XV, the ordered counter form of ice VI, i.e.

Adsorption of CO on SinOm(-) is observed as a major reaction channel. The rate constant of the adsorption reaction is high for the oxygen-rich clusters with m ≥ 2n + 1, whereas almost no reaction product is observed for m ≤ 2n.

Single crystal analyses revealed that [Cu(pdt)2(H2O)2](BF4)2 was of pseudo-D2h symmetry with two axial water molecules and two symmetrically coordinated equatorial pdt ligands, while the coordination structure of [Cu(pdt)2]BF4 was a squashed tetrahedron (dihedral angle = 54.87°) with an asymmetric coordination by two pdt ligands: one pdt ligand was coordinated to Cu(i) through pyridine-N and triazine-N2 while another pdt ligand was coordinated through pyridine-N and triazine-N4, and a stacking interaction between the phenyl ring on one pdt ligand and the triazine ring on another pdt ligand caused the squashed structure and non-equivalent Cu-N bond lengths.

Purpose: To evaluate and correlate the peaks and the fluctuation of intraocular pressure seen in the association of the ambulatory intraocular pressure curve with the water-drinking test versus the peaks and the fluctuation seen in the daily intraocular pressure curve.
Methods: The sample was as follows: 77 eyes belonging to 77 patients who were divided into three groups composed of 31 eyes belonging to 31 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, 26 eyes belonging to 26 patients with normal tension glaucoma and 20 normal eyes belonging to 20 individuals.
Results: A significant correlation could be observed between the pressure peaks collected from the daily intraocular pressure curve and the pressure peaks seen in the ambulatory intraocular pressure curve, on the water-drinking test, as well as in the association of the ambulatory intraocular pressure curve with the water-drinking test.
