Spatiotemporal analysis of imported and local dengue virus and cases in a metropolis in Southwestern China, 2013-2022.

Dengue fever is a viral illness, mainly transmitted by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. With climate change and urbanisation, more urbanised areas are becoming suitable for the survival and reproduction of dengue vector, consequently are becoming suitable for dengue transmission in China. Chongqing, a metropolis in southwestern China, has recently been hit by imported and local dengue fever, experiencing its first local outbreak in 2019.

Longitudinal research on the dynamics and internal mechanism of female entrepreneurs' passion.

Based on Vallerand's dualistic model of passion, this study theorizes and empirically examines the temporal dynamics of two types of entrepreneurial passion in female entrepreneurs, harmonious entrepreneurial passion (HmEP) and obsessive entrepreneurial passion (ObEP), and examines the mechanisms by which entrepreneurial effort0 and fear of failure influence the temporal dynamics of entrepreneurial passion. Using data collected from a three-wave, lagged survey of female entrepreneurs, we employed Mplus to build a latent growth model for entrepreneurial passion and built a cross-lag model of the relationship between entrepreneurial passion, entrepreneurial effort, and fear of failure. We found that female entrepreneurs' HmEP and ObEP present different temporal dynamics.

Evaluation of sensitivity and specificity of CanPatrol™ technology for detection of circulating tumor cells in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Background: The early diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer is of great significance to the prognosis of patients. However, traditional histopathology and imaging screening have certain limitations. Therefore, new diagnostical methods are urgently needed for the current clinical diagnosis.

NIS and epithelial-mesenchymal transition marker expression of circulating tumor cells for predicting and monitoring the radioactive iodine-131 therapy effect in differentiated thyroid cancers.

Current methods, such as serum thyroglobulin measurement and medical imaging, have limitations in the routine monitoring of the disease status and treatment response of patients with differentiated thyroid cancers (DTCs), and additional methods remain to be explored. The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical value of the sodium/iodide symporter (NIS) expression and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) phenotypes of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in monitoring the disease status and treatment response of DTC. Blood samples were obtained from DTC patients before (1 to 3 months after total thyroidectomy) and 4 to 6 months after radioactive iodine-131 (RAI) therapy for the CTC assessments.
